A live reading will be held at the Cartoon Art Museum on Saturday, July 31 from 2:00-4:00pm. This reading is open to the public and free 3D glasses will be provided to the audience.

These live readings continue the tradition of children's book authors connecting directly with their readership of parents and children. "3D Storybook-The Wrong Side of the Bed 3D!" author-illustrator Wallace E. Keller has been involved in reading programs since the beginning of his career as a writer and illustrator of children's books. As a member of the New York School Volunteer Program, Keller visited schools throughout New York City where he performed readings, followed by question-and-answer sessions about the writing and illustration process. "To meet your audience on such a personal level is rare gift," Keller explains, "and as much as I enjoy reading the stories, I also enjoy sharing the creative process. I believe it's of great value for children to see how a story begins, from a drawing or a line of text, and how it evolves into a finished book, in print or as an e-book."

Play-Well Senior Manager Steve Halford describes his organization's interest in hosting an iPad book reading: "Play-Well is very excited to be involved in showcasing one of the innovative ways in which technology is being used to enhance storytelling. This reading and demonstration will be both entertaining in its own right and offer inspiration to all of us looking for new and exciting ways to teach, entertain, and inform."

The app "3D Storybook – The Wrong Side of the Bed 3D!" is the first, and thus far only, 3D children's book app for Apple's iPad device. Viewable in either standard 2D or dimensional 3D with the use of red/cyan 3D glasses, the app has ranked among the Top 10 iPad paid book apps in the U.S., Canada, Australia and Germany.

For the live digital book readings, the app will be projected in 3D onto a large screen, with Keller providing live narration. He will also show the original book concepts and discuss the process of converting the print book into an interactive 3D e-book.
