(San Diego, CA) – Visionary Comics Studio is proud to announce its plans for the New York Comic-Con, and those plans involve a good bit of royalty.

First and foremost, Visionary is very proud to announce that we will be bringing Jerry “The King” Lawler to NYCC! The King will be holding court Friday, from 1:00-7:00pm (times subject to change), where he will be signing copies of his comic book debut as the cover artist to Headlocked: The Tryout! VCS will be sponsoring this event at the Turnbuckle Promotions booth #1266!

Tryout Cover artists John Hebert and Ron Wilson will also be in attendance at NYCC, so you can get the entire series autographed by these great artists. Headlocked creator Mike Kingston will be on hand all weekend as well, spreading the word of the world’s first REAL Wrestling comic!

Visionary will also be bringing the Convention Special Edition of our first, manga and hardcover graphic novel, The Frog Princess. This 160 page hardcover Shojo Manga by Jeff Loew and Rie Ikaza won’t be hitting comic stands until March, but you can get your special edition a month early at NYCC! VCS is co-publishing the book with eigoManga LLC.

In addition, VCS will be debuting our brand new prose-pulp anthology, Visions at NYCC. Friday 4:30-5:30pm in room 1A21 (time and location subject to change) come out and be part of the fantastic panel Pulps Thrive and Arrive at NYCC, and you can then pick up your very own copy of our debut issue which will be going on sale worldwide by mid-February. Visions will be published 6 times annually, co-published by Strider-Nolan Publishing, with almost 300 pages of action, adventure, horror and fantasy. Visions, will be a must-read for fans of pulp, comics and genre books.

Other Visionary creators and staff will also be present for NYCC. Managing Editor Ben Chafe will be reviewing portfolios, and Creative Director C. Edward Sellner will be selling original art and sketches. You can find us at Turnbuckle Promotions, but we’ll also be hanging out at the Comic Related Podcast mega center in the Podcast section of the convention (Booths #1576,1578,1580), and who knows where else we might pop up during the full weekend!
