Fans all over the Globe were toasting with gin, some of it probably Ryan Reynold's brand when it was announced that Deadpool 3 was in the works.  It was a tweet that certainly sent shockwaves throughout the Comic Collective.  Let's speculate on some potential big impacts Deadpool 3 may have within the comic universe!

Which Comic Character Will be Introduced in the Next Deadpool?

If a picture is worth 1,000 words, then you have already guessed by now which character I think will debut in Deadpool 3 and potentially get a Cable-like or Domino-like bounce when the movie hits theaters (News Flash! Vaccine = Back to Theaters Soon!).  My money is on Boom Boom (X-Force's Meltdown).  Ryan Reynolds loves characters with significant character dimensions.  He seems to enjoy letting the actors develop their characters and Boom Boom is the perfect character to give Deadpool 3 the kind of lift that Domino did in the second installment of the film.

An actress can build a character that can sling the one-liners with anyone on the set and the writing team can add layers of connections with every scene Boom Boom is in.  Best of all, key issues with Boom Boom are pretty cheap, and picking up a few is a low-risk, high reward proposition.

Boom Boom's first appearance is in Secret Wars II  #5.  According to GoCollect, CGC's graded a 9.8 are seeing huge fluctuations since August, ranging in the $80-$150 range.  Personally, I love the 9.6 tier.  You can get a 9.6 for under $40 potentially.  An actress that can make a comic character like Boom Boom stand out in the film can lead to significant growth in this comic.  If Boom Boom makes it into the movie as a featured character, a 2X multiplier on the investment can easily be realized.

X-Factor #12 Has the "Wow" Factor!

X-Factor #12 might be the second-best Boom Boom Key to make a run at. In addition to a great cover, it also features an early appearance of the character, just the fourth appearance of Apocolypse, and the first appearance of Autumn Rolfson whom Apocolypse recruits to become Famine.  If Reynolds, his team, and the MCU move in this direction and we eventually see the Apocolypse storyline within the MCU, this is a great place to pick up key books with that storyline as well as a Boom Boom key.

This comic is ridiculously undervalued right now.  GoCollect lists sales of X-Factor #12 in CGC 9.8 going for as low as $30.  Great cover, early appearances, and first appearances all add up to a stellar undervalued comic that can really skyrocket in value with the right presentation in Deadpool 3.

Twitter was active this week, but the Deadpool announcement brought smiles to many faces!  There are many other great buys out there right now featuring Boom Boom and there are plenty of other characters that the writing team can pull from too!  I just feel like Boom Boom is tailor-made for a Ryan Reynolds film and seeing that character and Deadpool in dialogue together seems to fit well based on the writing of the first two movie scripts.
