Once again, the movie and streaming influence was evident in the Hottest Comics, and Marvel Two-In-One Annual #2 has quickly become a trending comic as a result.

With Loki turning the MCU upside down, it has created a new wave of excitement and speculation among collectors. That is sending the debuts of Order and Chaos marching towards the summit of the rankings.

Let’s break down the trends and standouts of this week’s top-100.

10. MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE ANNUAL #2 (+989)

Now that Loki has opened the floodgates to the Multiverse, the collecting world is shifting its lense to keys focused on the powerful elemental forces of the Marvel Universe. In Marvel Two-In-One Annual #2, not only do you get a throwdown between Thanos and the combined efforts of Spider-Man, Adam Warlock, Thing, and Thor, but this issue features the debuts of Master Order and Lord Chaos.

Since the Living Tribunal’s head was seen in Loki, Episode Five, and with Eternals’ direct ties to the Celestials, it stands to reason that all the cosmic entities will trickle into the Multiverse.

22. SHOWCASE #37 (+977)

This week’s Hottest Comics showcased the collecting world’s fondness for the Metal Men. Out of all the more obscure DC heroes, at least to mainstream audiences, the Metal Men have always seemed like an easy choice to become fan favorites. For that matter, they would make a great addition to another season of Doom Patrol.

Could it be that there is new speculation that they will be getting the live-action treatment? That may be what is driving Showcase #37 to new heights as of late.

23. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #2 (+90)

The rumor mill keeps churning out more speculation for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Of course, when a movie is dealing with the Multiverse, it leaves much to the imagination since there are endless possibilities. Practically every month, there is another round of speculation, and the latest has it that Michael Keaton will reprise his role as Adrian Toomes, aka the Vulture.

We already know that he is returning for Morbius, and it is not out of the question to see him return for the third Spider-Man movie. That could be what has pushed Amazing Spider-Man #2 well up the rankings this week.

74. USAGI YOJIMBO #1 (+925)

The samurai rabbit is finally getting his own animated series on Netflix. For years, it seemed like a lock that Hollywood would discover Usagi, especially with the decades worth of success from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Over the years, Usagi has made appearances alongside the Ninja Turtles, but he will soon get his time in the spotlight, and it has been a long time coming. That has clearly spurred the market for his early appearances, including the first issue of his very own self-titled series, Usagi Yojimbo #1.

ODDBALL OF THE WEEK

810. HAPPY DAYS #1 (+189)

For weeks, the cartoon adaptations ruled the Oddball of the Week. From Ren & Stimpy to the Get Along Gang, those kids’ comics have become frequent additions to the Hottest Comics to the point that they’re not such oddities anymore.

Thankfully, classic sitcoms have stepped up to fill the void. After a couple weeks of Welcome Back, Kotter, Happy Days' first issue found its way into the top 1,001, earning it the Oddball of the Week Award.
