Welcome back, Frank, on your glorious return to the top of the sales charts in this week’s edition of Trending Comics.

The Hottest Comics is your resource for the top-selling single issues that eBay has to offer. While we spotlight the five movers and shakers each week, it’s those outside the top 10 that should have your attention. Take a look.

13. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #129 (+27)

The Punisher made waves this week, and his coveted first appearance was knocking on the door of the top 10 Hottest Comics. The impressive part of that ascension is the prices. This being a Bronze Age holy grail, the price tags are massively inflated on an average day.

With Jon Bernthal confirmed to reprise his role as Frank Castle for Daredevil: Born Again, these are anything but average days for ASM #129. That adds a dose of steroids to those fair market values, not that they needed any excuse to get more expensive. Judging by the leap to the 13th overall position in the Hottest Comics, inflated prices are no deterrent for Punisher investors.

63. GHOST RIDER #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

The Ghost Rider speculation is as near a constant in the comic community as you’ll find. Practically every month, there’s new gossip and rumors that the Spirit of Vengeance is returning to the MCU. Whether that is in a Disney Plus series or a feature film, it doesn’t seem to matter.

Fans want Ghost Rider, and there are plenty of A-list actors who have made it clear they’re up for playing the part. It’s a recipe for high prices for any of those GR keys, specifically his first appearance and his first self-titled series.

69. INCREDIBLE HULK #271 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Behind perhaps only The Flash, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is the most anticipated superhero movie of the year. With only weeks before James Gunn wraps his GOTG trilogy and exits Marvel, it’s no surprise that the secondary market is shifting towards the Guardians. Specifically, buyers were on the hunt for Rocket’s first appearance.

It’s no secret that his story will be at the heart of the new movie, and there are predictions that he won’t make it out of the final act. That’s enough to put a premium on Hulk #271.

79. TOMB OF DRACULA #10 (NEW TO THE LIST)

The Marvel spec was strong this week, and buyers were tracking down Blade’s first appearance in droves. Of course, the character has come a long way since the days of Tomb of Dracula #10, but it’s a nostalgic piece that collectors always want in their sets.

Marvel has elevated his status in the comics, adding him to the Avengers in the past year. The upcoming movie remains in a bit of turmoil, but we know that it will eventually make it to the theaters. Add it all up, and it’s a great time to be a Blade fan.

80. X-MEN #130 (NEW TO THE LIST)

The roller skating disco queen of the Marvel Universe was feeling the love from collectors this week. Dazzler’s first appearance cracked the Hottest Comics further testifying to their love for the musical mutant. Will she arrive in the MCU? There’s been plenty of speculation about just that for years now, and she does make a good case for herself.

Let’s face it - she’s just campy enough to get Kevin Feige’s attention, so it’s easy to see why fans expect her to be on the X-Men roster when they reenter the world of live action.
