Spawn made a push toward the mountaintop while Secret Wars #8 remained one of the steadiest keys in this week’s Trending Comics.

The Hottest Comics are the top-100 best-selling single issues across the grandfather of the auction sites, eBay. The data is based on the past 30 days, and it is ever-changing. It can pay dividends for you to dig deeper into the index to see what buying trends are emerging. Lucky for you, I did your homework. Here's a look at the Trending Comics from the past month.

2. SPAWN #1 (+1)

Everyone’s favorite superhero born from the depths of Hell (next to Ghost Rider) is edging closer to the number one ranking.

This is one of the most popular key issues on the market, and it’s easy to come by.

After all, Image Comics commissioned a huge print run for its first issue. That keeps the prices down for Todd McFarlane’s second-most famous creation.

It only helps matters that the Toddfather keeps talking about his Spawn movie reboot.

4. MARVEL SUPER-HEROES SECRET WARS #8 (NO MOVEMENT)

Although there was no movement in the fourth position over the past week, Secret Wars #8 demands to be noticed. With the question marks over Venom and the MCU after the No Way Home mid-credits scene, it has created buzz for those symbiote keys.

SW #8 has long been the favorite among the original 1984 Secret Wars comics thanks to the debut of the alien costume that would become Venom.

There are also rumors of a Secret Wars movie in the works, and that gives buyers another reason to put SW #8 on their wish lists.

12. NEW AVENGERS #7 (+48)

Will we see the Illuminati in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?

The countdown to the theatrical premiere has begun, and Patrick Stewart’s voiceover in the trailer has fueled the speculation for New Avengers #7.

By far, this is the favorite Illuminati key since the group made its first appearance in 2005.

Although Marvel has not confirmed the shadowy puppet masters, fans are certain that a reported picture with a caption that describes Doctor Strange being confronted by the Illuminati is all the evidence they need.

85. THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

All you buyers out there, you didn’t let me down this week. There were a couple of legendary game changers in this week’s lineup, beginning with DKR #1.

Any fan of modern Batman owes a debt of gratitude to Frank Miller’s masterpiece that gave the Caped Crusader a dark, gritty edge and helped fans forget about, you know, nana-nana-nana Bat-Man!

With so much attention on The Batman, it’s sent buyers on the prowl for those modern keys, and this is one of the must-haves.

95. X-MEN #94 (NEW TO THE LIST)

The second historic key on today’s list is the beginning of the Chris Claremont era of X-Men.

Fans are ready for Marvel’s Merry Mutants to arrive in the MCU, and it would appear that MOM is going to deliver.

That has pushed the X-keys to the top of the sales charts. Once the X-Men have fully debuted in the MCU, many of their stories will likely take inspiration from Claremont, who penned the first of his legendary X-Men run with X-Men #94.
