Spawn leaped into the top spot on the Hottest Comics rankings this week, but don’t ignore those Star Wars keys that are feeling the heat from The Book of Boba Fett. Here we go - it's another week of Trending Comics analysis.

The Hottest Comics is all about the sales volume. Ranking the top 100 best-selling single issues on eBay, today’s list focuses on the data compiled over the past 30 days. The Trending Comics. What new contenders do we have climbing the ranks?

Let’s check the list and see what we find.

1. SPAWN #1 (+4)

A new leader stepped into the #1 position this week. Over the past 30 days, Spawn #1 has emerged as the single best-selling issue on the secondary online market.

What has caused collectors to stockpile this ever-popular key issue?

Todd McFarlane has once again stoked the movie flames, and he claims that his Spawn feature film is still on the table. It doesn’t hurt that Spawn has returned to the spotlight thanks to the Spawn’s Universe connecting series.

37. DARTH VADER #3 (+32)

The Book of Boba Fett is only two episodes deep, but it is already having a decisive impact on the market.

This week’s chapter has major implications for one of the modern Star Wars comics’ most popular characters, Doctor Aphra.

First appearing in Darth Vader #3, she has gone on to star in her own solo title. With a massive following that continues to grow, there are growing whispers that she will appear on Disney+, and the BOBF introduction of her cohort, Black Krrsantan, only fuels the speculation.

39. WONDER WOMAN #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

After the heartbreaking news of George Perez’s cancer diagnosis, fans of the legendary creator have flocked to the auction sites for his most famous issues.

This week, his game-changing revamp of the Wonder Woman title was on the move; it landed in the top-40 position after falling outside the top 100 for a time.

Of all Perez’s WW issues, Wonder Woman #1 remains the favorite due to the exquisite cover art.

56. STAR WARS: TALES OF THE JEDI #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Those Star Wars comics were making bold moves in the past 30 days, and it can all be attributed to BOBF bringing attention back to all things from the galaxy far, far away. What makes Tales of the Jedi #1 special is it introduces the Knights of the Old Republic timeline.

These stories take place 4,000 years before the events of the original Star Wars trilogy, and it spawned the massively successful KOTOR video games. With a remastered KOTOR game in development and rumors galore about a Disney+ series set in the timeline, it is no wonder fans are stocking up on those Old Republic keys.

99. X-MEN #11 (NEW TO THE LIST)

My gut feeling is that the upcoming X-Men ‘97 cartoon show is the cause of X-Men #11’s push into the top-100 Hottest Comics.

At the end of last year, Marvel and Disney announced a reprisal of the beloved X-Men: the Animated Series from the 1990s is in development.

As X-fans know, the character designs were taken from Jim Lee’s artwork on the title during the early ‘90s. That likely spurred buyers to pull the trigger on X-Men #11, which features one of Lee’s most famous X-Men covers.
