Wakanda Forever has arrived in theaters, and that has ushered several Black Panther keys to the top of the agenda.

Whenever an MCU project reaches the masses, you can be sure the comic speculation will see a spike. Of course, that rise in interest is finite, so sellers are riding the wave while it lasts. This week, it sent three particular Black Panthers keys climbing the charts.

37. BLACK PANTHER, VOL. 3, #2 (NEW TO THE LIST)

The name of the game this week is Black Panther, and for good reason. The secondary market revolves around the live-action adaptations, and Shuri has now claimed her spot as a superhero in her own right. That has made her first appearance in Black Panther #2 a must-have collectible for Wakanda Forever fans.

Audiences are loving her as the new Black Panther, and there’s no doubt she’ll be a major player in The Multiverse Saga. That makes this a great key to own.

70. BLACK PANTHER #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

With all the attention on Wakanda Forever, the Black Panther keys are booming this week. While the movie speculation is still hot, buyers are scouring the auction sites for those important BP moments. Since the Silver Age issues are out of reach for many collectors, it puts an added emphasis on this once-overlooked Bronze Age comic.

Black Panther #1 marked the first ongoing BP title in the character’s history. Since there are no major first appearances in the issue, it’s not an overly expensive item, which makes it a great pick for fans on a budget.

75. STAR WARS #4 (NEW TO THE LIST)

This is one of the more random comics on today’s list. The calling card for this issue is being part of the original 1977 movie adaptation. The earlier issues are the bigger keys to own since those are the first appearances of the famous characters.

My inclination is Star Wars #4 is riding those coattails to a degree, getting into the top 100 best-sellers thanks to collectors wanting to complete their sets.

The other possibility for SW #4’s sudden jump is that it featured the first canonical battle between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader.

81. INVINCIBLE IRON MAN, VOL. 3, #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Once again, we turn our attention back to Wakanda Forever. Since Riri has officially been introduced to the MCU, all of her key issues take on a larger importance. Her starring role in Ironheart is on the Disney Plus horizon, and you can be sure we will see her in plenty of other projects along the way.

The real test will be her streaming series and whether or not she can carry her own franchise. Leading to that show’s debut, these keys will only get hotter.

88. ALL STAR COMICS #58 (NEW TO THE LIST)

This 1976 issue may catch fans off guard, but you may want to get used to seeing it on the Hottest Comics index. All Star Comics #58 featured the introduction of Power Girl. Thanks to her overly sexualized depictions, she has been popular for decades. However, under the DCU’s new direction, we could see her getting a chance to shine on the big or small screen. That should have you keeping an eye on this comic.
