As the world tunes in for the live-action adventures of She-Hulk, her first appearance climbed the collecting mountain in this week’s Trending Comics.

Welcome back to the blog that takes a deeper dive into the top 100 Hottest Comics on the secondary market. As you should know by now, the index is based on sales volume, not sale prices. While an issue may have a skyrocketing fair market value, that doesn’t earn it a spot on this list. Instead, it’s all about where buyers were spending their money rather than how much they were spending. No surprise, they were investing heavily in She-Hulk. Let's dive into the Trending Comics breakdown.

2. SAVAGE SHE-HULK #1 (+4)

It wasn’t hard to predict that She-Hulk’s first appearance would make a run at the top spot within a week of her Disney+ premiere. Savage She-Hulk #1 came within one position to reach the summit, narrowly edged out by Secret Wars #8.

No doubt, She-Hulk #1 will continue to flex its muscle in the coming weeks. If the pattern stays true to the normal schedule of events, once the first season is done, buyers will find a new object of their affection, and this comic will take a mighty drop. In the age of live-action collecting, that is the nature of the beast.

62. X-MEN #101 (NEW TO THE LIST)

At the rate that Marvel Comics is regurgitating popular old storylines, they’ll have run through the entire gamut of Silver and Bronze Age by 2030. It would not be a surprise to see them attempt to get a little more mileage out of the Phoenix Saga. While that is not on the table as far as I am aware, X-Men #101 remains a popular item thanks to the importance of the Phoenix Force.

Marvel has expanded the cosmic entity outside the pages of X-Men and into the world of the Avengers in recent years. That leads to theories that it could be in line for an MCU debut, which adds fuel to the comic collecting fire.

90. WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #118 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Fans adored the Spider-Man variants in Into the Spider-Verse, and the sequel is enlisting some star power. As revealed by a reported Across the Spider-Verse edition of the board game, Trouble, Scarlet Spider is coming to the blockbuster animated movie.

No wonder Ben Reilly’s debut in the red jumpsuit and blue hoodie swung into the top 100.

92. EDGE OF SPIDER-VERSE #2 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Just when buyers had turned their attention toward a host of new keys, the recent Across the Spider-Verse buzz brought them back to a familiar doorstep. Spider-Gwen’s first appearance was back in the top 100 Hottest Comics, and it shouldn’t be going anywhere but up for the foreseeable future.

My inclination is that she will eventually star in her own Spider-Verse spinoff movie or series, and the next two movies should be the set up for just that. That’s pure speculation on my part, so take it with a grain of salt.

94. INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Collectors and investors continued to swoon over Riri Williams’ key issues this week. She was front and center in the breathtaking Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer and the latest news is that her suit has been revealed. In the footage, we see her hammering out her very own armor in full Tony Stark origin-style.

Reportedly, the Wakanda Forever toy line has spoiled what that new armor will look like. That has undoubtedly spurred buyers to add this issue to their shopping lists.
