A week since The Eternals claimed its share of the box office, the comic world is still buzzing about Marvel’s gods and those tantalizing bonus scenes. Here for your reading pleasure are the top Eternals issues that are reeling in the buyers. Welcome to this week's Trending Comics from the list of Movers and Shakers!

Remember that the Hottest Comics are based on sales volume, not fair market value. While a comic may have escalating prices, that does not mean the sales are necessarily through the proverbial roof. While it is tempting to focus solely on the biggest noisemakers on the list, Trending Comics digs deeper to uncover the emerging sales patterns over the past 30 days.

With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the comics that stacked the deck this month.

1. ETERNALS #1 (+10)

It’s no wonder that the Eternals keys were lighting up the secondary market throughout October and into November.

Fans have waited a year to see the movie, and there was hype to spare going into the film’s opening weekend. That being said, it should be no surprise that the team’s first appearance took over the top spot in the top-100 Hottest Comics.

Director Chloe Zhao has suggested that there won’t be an Eternals sequel, but there is no question that the characters will surface in the future. That should help keep this issue inside the top 100 for quite some time.

10. ETERNALS #2 (+83)

It is typical that movie keys plateau and fall out of favor with buyers in the weeks and months after the film’s release, but Eternals #2 could defy that trend.

This issue featured the debuts of Ajak, one of the Polar Eternals, and the Celestial, Arishem the Judge. It has since been revealed that Salma Hayek signed for multiple movies in the MCU, which hints that Ajak still has a large role to play.

As for Arishem, the closing moments of Eternals revealed that his MCU story is far from over, and we will see him in the future. That should keep this issue in high regard among collectors.

14. ETERNALS #3 (NO PRIOR RANKING)

New to this month’s top 100 is Eternals #3, a comic that featured the debut of Sersi.

Again, the movie’s ending suggests that she will be a key player in the MCU’s future phases, and that will keep buyers on the hunt for her first appearance.

With the additions of the Black Knight and Eros to the MCU, her connections to those characters will help keep her in the picture outside of the Eternals’ franchise.

That should translate into high FMVs for Eternals #3 as well.

30. ETERNALS #5 (NO PRIOR RANKING)

For many audiences, Makkari stole the show in Eternals, and that is pushing this issue to new heights. Not only do you get her first appearance, but Eternals #5 also saw the premiere of Thena, another fan-favorite character from the movie.

What should be equally as appealing as Makkari and Thena’s first appearances is the possibility of bigger things for this key.

This issue also features the debuts of Domo and Zuras, two characters who could soon make an MCU impact.

43. AVENGERS #48 (+35)

Behind those Eternals key issues is another popular addition to any collection, Avengers #48.

This issue took off when Kit Harrington was first cast as Dane Whitman. Despite the character not taking up the Ebony Blade in Eternals, the hints were there, particularly in the post-credits scene.

The indication is that we will see Whitman in full Black Knight armor sooner rather than later, and that is having major implications for this issue.
