There’s nothing like that movie excitement, and it prompted to buyers to pony up for Transformers #1 and Hulk #181.

Each week, GoCollect spotlights the five biggest movers and shakers across the Hottest Comics index. Based on eBay sales volume, those are the issues that either gained or lost the most ground across a 10-day span. The Trending Comics blog is a companion piece in which we spotlight some interesting additions to the 100 best-selling comics. This week, we certainly had plenty to choose from. Check it out.

15. TRANSFORMERS #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Maybe Beast Wars isn’t getting the most stellar early screening reviews thus far, but that isn’t deterring the Transformers faithful. To be honest, there has yet to be a truly good Transformers movie, so I doubt anyone is expecting much more than a popcorn fest at this point.

Personally, I’m just excited to see Unicron on the silver screen, but I digress. Be that as it may, the hype for Beast Wars has been enough to nudge the Autobots and Decepticons’ first appearance high on the Hottest Comics index.

18. INCREDIBLE HULK #181 (+33)

Wolverine remains one of Marvel’s most popular characters, and that makes his first full/first cover appearance a mainstay among collectors. Factor in the excitement for Hugh Jackman’s return to the role in Deadpool 3, and there’s plenty of reason for buyers to want Hulk #181.

It makes for a buyers’ market where those Wolverine keys are concerned, and there’s no topping this issue as the first and foremost on the wish lists.

All things X-Men are getting the rub from not only Wolverine’s MCU arrival but the anticipation for the mutants’ grand arrival. Any characters with MCU potential are particularly appealing, and many fans are begging Marvel to include Gambit when the X-Men join the fray.

There have already been ample rumors of Rogue joining the cinematic universe ahead of her fellow X-Men. Logically, that would indicate her ragin’ Cajun love interest wouldn’t be far behind. That helps explain why his first appearance in UXM Annual #14 was climbing the best-sellers ranks.

71. FANTASTIC FOUR ANNUAL #6 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Who knows what villains we will see when the Fantastic Four movie finally arrives in theaters? There’s been speculation surrounding Doctor Doom and Galactus, but we’ve seen them already in the various Fox FF films. Truthfully, most of us would rather forget those entries.

Why not something different? Enter: Annhilus and his insect horde. He has been heavily rumored for years, and many fans believe he is on the list of FF villains which would indicate why his debut in FF Annual #6 was on the Hottest Comics index this week.

79. FANTASTIC FOUR #50 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Speaking of the Fantastic Four, here we have the third issue of the Galactus Trilogy. Compared to FF #48 and #49, this is the most budget-friendly of the three comics by far. In the grand scheme, it’s not hugely important, but it is a great pickup for any Galactus and Silver Surfer fans.

Once he arrives on the silver screen, all his early keys will bloom in a massive way, so now would be the time to gather those Silver Age keys.
