Multiverse of Madness continued to work its magic on the secondary market as practically anything connected to the Doctor Strange sequel is getting a boost. Welcome to our look at this month's Trending Comics.

It’s time for Trending Comics, the blog that digs deeper into the Hottest Comics rankings. Remember that the index is based on sales volume over the past 30 days. That doesn’t mean you won’t find some expensive issues climbing the ladder of success, but it’s the cheaper alternatives that tend to get the attention.

If we scroll past the top 10, you will see buying patterns emerging, and that could keep you in the loop in an ever-changing comic collecting market.

43. UNCANNY X-MEN #282 (+10)

Bishop has been in the collecting spotlight as of late.

His first appearance/first cover is getting more expensive, and we can blame Multiverse of Madness for the surge in popularity. The time-traveling mutant has often been rumored to join the MCU’s X-Men.

When last we saw him on the big screen, he had a small role in Days of Future Past. Many theorists speculate that he will have a larger presence in the future X-Men team, which has been heralded by Patrick Stewart’s role in MOM.

That is adding up to increased values for UXM #282.

61. HULK #1 (+39)

While the She-Hulk Disney+ series will be straight comedy in lieu of the smashing action of the Hulk we’re used to, it has raised awareness for all things gamma-powered.

From the Dark Avengers to the Thunderbolts, rumors of Red Hulk inching his way into the MCU have persisted for years.

Could She-Hulk open the door to the Thunderbolt Ross Hulk?

There’s no reason to think otherwise, but cross your fingers he isn’t made into a comedy act.

71. TALES OF THE TEEN TITANS #44 (+26)

Are we going to see Nightwing emerge on the silver screen? There are plenty of reasons to think that Dick Grayson will evolve from sidekick to the hero of Bludhaven in a live-action movie.

The most obvious choice is the HBO Max Batgirl, which already features Michael Keaton returning as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The word on the internet is that the movie will incorporate Earth-89’s Robin. Considering Keaton is portraying an older, wiser Dark Knight, it stands to reason that Robin would be all grown up and donning his Nightwing costume.

That has had ripple effects on Dick Grayson’s first appearance as a vigilante in his own right.

89. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #16 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Was that Monica Rambeau soaring through the MOM Super Bowl trailer? That’s one of the multiple theories circulating social media.

The idea is that the person in question is actually an alternate-dimension Monica who gained the powers of Captain Marvel rather than Carol Danvers.

It’s driving sales for her first appearance in ASM Annual #16 in which she becomes Captain Marvel. If Monica is featured in MOM, then expect this issue to hit the afterburners in terms of sales and FMV.

99. THE PUNISHER #1 (NEW TO THE LIST)

Will we see the full, unedited violent glory that was Netflix’s take on the Punisher? There’s debate on that topic, but at least Jon Bernthal is back in the MCU in a sense.

The rumor for the past year has been that he will appear on Armor Wars and take over the War Machine mech suit. Not only that, but there have been theories that he will make a cameo on Moon Knight as well.

Anything is possible in the current climate, and it’s sending collectors on a hunt for those Punisher keys. With his first appearance out of reach for many, it leads to the debut issue of his first ongoing series.
