Are you building an epic PlayStation collection? Then do not sleep on Heritage's PlayStation focus auction, the Power of PlayStation. Featuring 97 unique items from the original PlayStation run, there's enough here to start and build on a collection. While Heritage does do weekly Mini-Boss auctions, this one is different as it is just focusing on one console. Here are my top pics from this focus auction!

Final Fantasy VII

Final Fantasy is the series that saved SquareSoft from going completely out of business -- hence the title. The series is one of the highest-regarded video game franchises and still has new games being produced to this day. Due to how popular this series is, the game had over two million pre-orders in stores across Japan. By December 1999 the game had sold over six million copies worldwide, and by August 2019 the game sold over 9 million units worldwide -- multiple consoles included. Final Fantasy VII was praised by critics and fans, and become a cultural phenomenon in itself. Rinoa Heartilly, one of the main characters, is still heavily cosplayed at various conventions.

This sealed 9.8 A++ WATA-graded copy is a desirable item. With a one-year average of $1,611, this game will always be of interest to collectors and investors alike. If you're looking to add this to your collection, this is truly as good as it gets.

Resident Evil 2

This single-player survival horror game scared the hell out of me when I got it. As I grew up (and grew to be a big horror fan) I learned to appreciate the game's earnest drive to scare the player, it was enough to get 12-year-old me to play the game one time. In Japan, the game got a live-action commercial directed by zombie legend George Romero. Unfortunately, we did not get that in America -- but we can watch it now thanks to YouTube. The game was heavily praised on its release thanks to the graphics and storyline and is still enjoyed to this day.

This sealed 9.8 A+ WATA-graded copy is one of the highest-graded copies of this game -- only one copy grades slightly higher. Sales for this game have gone up in the past year, so if you're thinking of getting a copy now is the time. The one-year average for Resident Evil 2 is $2,410.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2

While Tony Hawk himself might not be recognized by people when he's in public, his video game series is certainly recognizable. Everyone I know played this game in middle and high school. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 features a number of pro skaters, including Kareem Campbell, Chad Muska, Eric Koston, and of course Tony Hawk himself. This game was immensely popular and remains one of the best-reviewed PlayStation games. The game sold over 5 million units worldwide across all platforms, and people still play it to this day. The soundtrack was also impressive, featuring music by Bad Religion, Rage Against the Machine, and Papa Roach. This game was peak 2000s.

This sealed 9.8 A WATA-graded copy is simply awesome. While this game isn't breaking down the $1K mark, yet, this game does have a one-year average of $408 in 9.8 conditions. This could potentially be an affordable way to get a high-grade video game. Don't sleep on this one.
