Media Release -- SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles™ are about to "Shell-ebrate" the end of their official 25th Anniversary Tour in San Diego, paving the way for another exciting 25 years of TMNT-mania that will include the release of a new TMNT motion picture in 2011. Mirage Studios, owners of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand, and TMNT licensing agent 4Kids Entertainment will be making "America's Finest City" a little finer (and greener) from July 23-26 as they "Shell-ebrate" with fans, and Jerry Sanders, the Mayor of San Diego, at San Diego Comic-Con, Horton Plaza and a special "Galabunga" featuring the World Premiere Screening of a Special "Turtles" Film at the On Broadway Event Center.

The TMNT Party Bus will be parked at Horton Plaza (located in the downtown Gaslamp District off Broadway), a few blocks away from the San Diego Convention Center, throughout the duration of the show. Visitors will have the opportunity to walk through the Turtles Party Bus, a moving memorabilia museum of TMNT artifacts encompassing its first quarter century, play TMNT video games, take photos with the TMNT as well as participate in martial arts demonstrations with the American Taekwondo Association. In addition, special guest Jerry Sanders, the Mayor of San Diego, will be joining the TMNT for a "shell-ebratory" press event at Horton Plaza on Thursday, July 23 at 10:30 AM.

Horton Plaza will also be part of a special promotion during San Diego Comic-Con that entails attendees collecting TMNT buttons for a chance to win tickets to the "invite only" Gala-bunga party/screening at the Friday evening "On Broadway" event.

Buttons for the contest can be obtained at Uclick GoComics (Booth #1217), Ubisoft (Booth #5521), Prima Games (Booth #1129) and Sideshow Collectibles (Booth #1929) at Comic-Con, with a fifth button, commemorating the 25th Anniversary, available at the Party Bus at Horton Plaza. The first 150 people to return to the Party Bus at Horton Plaza with all five buttons will win a ticket to the Galabunga hosted at the On Broadway Event Center (615 Broadway) on Friday, July 24.

The Galabunga will feature the World Premiere screening of the 4Kids Entertainment and Mirage Studios' "Turtles Forever" animated Special, bringing together the classic Turtles with their contemporary brethren. A reception and screening filled with food (including pizza of course!), drinks, giveaways and special guests will be held from 7-10:00 PM. The event is invitation-only, but attendees (21 and over) will have the opportunity to win coveted tickets by collecting the five buttons during Comic-Con. In addition, tickets will be given out at select times and locations during the Convention Center for some lucky fans.

"This is an exhilarating time for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and it has been great to see the support and dedication fans still have for the brand after all these years, as we have made our way across the country from New York to San Diego," said Gary Richardson, CEO of Mirage Studios. "While the events surrounding San Diego Comic-Con mark the end of the official Anniversary Tour for the TMNT, they also mark the beginning of the next TMNT chapter. We have a lot of exciting initiatives planned for the Turtles and look forward to kicking off the next 25 years by getting to work on a brand new TMNT movie for fans to enjoy in 2011."

The TMNT will be busy back at the San Diego Convention Center with partners Ubisoft, Universal Uclick, Prima Games, and Sideshow Collectibles. Ubisoft, the leading international developer, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment products, will be hosting TMNT video game tournaments throughout the show and will have a "green screen" to take action-packed TMNT pictures. In addition, Universal Uclick, the Turtles' mobile content licensee, will be giving away an iPod touch in their booth during the show.

A special TMNT panel will be held on Friday, July 24 from 4:15-5:15 PM in Room 6DE. The panel will look at the whole spectrum of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (from comics to toys to TV to movies to video games, etc.). The panelists will discuss the evolution of the TMNT as a brand, the depth to which the TMNT have been part of these mediums as well as key milestones over the years. The panel members include:

Gary Richardson (moderator), CEO of Mirage Studios
Kevin Eastman, Co-creator of the TMNT
Lloyd Goldfine, Supervising Producer, 4Kids Productions
Steve Barron, Director of the original movie: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Karl Aaronian, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Giochi Preziosi U.S.A., Inc (and ex-Playmates Toys exec)
