Welcome back to this week's top pics from Heritage's weekly Sunday through Tuesday comic book auctions! Heritage holds weekly funny book auctions which feature key issues, overlooked comics, oddball memorabilia items, and more. These auctions are a must if you want to beef up your collection! Here are my top picks for you to watch.

Cardcaptor Sakura and Sailor Moon toy lot

By now most of you know I'm a big Sailor Moon fan. I also enjoyed Card Captor Sakura as a kid. I still collect Sailor Moon toys to this day, and this lot caught my eye. Take a close look at the Sailor Moon toy in particular. Normally Sailor Moon and Sailor Uranus are not paired together.

On top of that, we have the five Inner Soldiers in their Super S uniforms, even though the box says Sailor Moon S -- only Sailor Moon was able to transform into Super Sailor Moon during that season. There's also a clear lack of Bandai's logo on the box. The Romantic Heroine line was a real line of toys by Bandai, but this appears to be a bootleg. The Card Captor toys are also most likely knockoffs as well.

But that's ok. Bootleg toys are pretty awesome. While they can be a cheaper alternative, they can also be downright hilarious. I collect bootleg toys, and I would absolutely add these to my collection. If you're interested in them like I am, I wouldn't pay more than $40 -- with the buyer's fee included.

Skeleton Hand #1

This cover has it all. This Ken Bald cover features a violin-playing skeleton, and monsters dancing under a full moon. The title logo itself is creepy but in the best way possible. Skeleton Hand was a pre-code horror series published by the American Comics Group. The series only lasted 6 issues and has been collected in hardback books since. Skeleton Hand is a delightful series that many might not even know about.

This CGC blue label 6.0 features Cream to Off-White pages. The colors on the cover still pop. The last time a 6.0 example sold was in February of 2021 for $355. Prior to that a sale for $360 happened in June of 2018. This book might be holding steady around the $360 mark. If you're a fan of horror, don't overlook this book!

Katy Keene #60

Katy Keene, the pinup queen, has had her fair share of Good Girl Art covers. This time Katy is underwater and is being trapped by an evil octopus! This stunning Bill Woggon cover absolutely sings! Katy herself has seen the limelight here and there since her introduction in Wilber Comics #5 in the summer of 1945, but it always seems fleeting.

After the initial Katy boom, she faded away by the mid-1960s. In the 1980s she was revived thanks to a popular fanzine, only to be shelved again by the early 1990s. Katy Keene even got a CW live-action show that sadly only lasted for one season in 2019. Katy has been a regular in more modern Archie comics, but I'm still waiting for her to have her day in the sun once again.

This CGC blue label 6.0 features Off-White pages and bright, beautiful colors. There is little sales data for this book in any grade. Each sale is at least three years old over a handful of grades, with prices for graded copies ending below $80. If you're a Good Girl Art fan, or really love Katy Keene, this could be your chance to get this book for cheap.
