Superman In Movie Style Film Set of Two

In 1940 the ACME company released a Superman In Movie Style movie viewer — a toy that’s still commonly used by kids today. This viewfinder is a rare treat, as the original box and items are still all together. The film strips for this viewfinder were comic panels, with several different strips available for kids to purchase. There were a few similar ACME In Movie Style products out there which included popular comic characters such as The Long Ranger and Dick Tracy.

This set comes with an original in-box viewfinder and two reels, as well as five additional reels. Heritage is selling this as-is and in overall Good Condition. These come up for auction every blue moon, with the complete in-box viewfinders going for under $200, while the film reels sell for under $50. This is a truly unique collectible, perfect for all Superman fans!

The Avengers #57

The first appearance of The Vision has become a larger key thanks in part to Vision being a major character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yet despite being a key book, mid-grade copies of this book are still affordable. With the upcoming Disney+ show VisionQuest in the works, this book will most likely start to heat up again. This book did see an increase in value over the last five to six years across all grades, with higher grades seeing the most influx. As of this writing, blue label CGC 9.8 copies have a one-year average of $26,800.

This blue label CGC 7.5 has off-white to white pages but presents beautifully well. The current one-year average for blue label CGC 7.5’s is $711, while the fair market value is $650. If this is a key you’re looking to add to your collection, now would be the time to do so.

Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #1

If you’re reading this, chances are you know what The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide is. This book can be found in just about every comic book store and at many booths at conventions. The book has long been used as a guide on how to price comics — and still, it is used to this day. I myself have been an Overstreet advisor for a few years now, and I genuinely enjoy reading the articles other advisors write.

This first edition is a real treasure of a book. Printed in 1970, only 1,000 white-cover copies were printed. Older Overstreets (especially the first one) truly show how far we’ve come as a hobby, and how far prices have gone up for certain books. This original book was a true labor of love and deserves to be in the home of a collector.
