How far can Ultimate Fallout #4 go? Further, what return trends have we seen over the last two years, or even the last 60 days? Is it the Ultimate Modern Age investment? The 3000 Club is a relatively new designation on my part for any stock in the Modern Age that happens to grace the $3000 selling price. In that vein, I have watched Amazing Spider-Man #300 blast through $3000 on its way to $4000 and beyond.

That happened in a matter of 18 months. This kind of price action is unprecedented in our collectible community. Many books have broken out of five-year highs on their way to the $3000 Club almost all in the Copper or Modern Age. Recently, Ultimate Fallout #4 has joined this exclusive club as well.

Ultimate Fallout #4

Ultimate Fallout #4 is the first appearance of Miles Morales. This book is less than 10 years old yet it has hit the $3000 mark multiple times over the last 60 days! This truly epic feat has left many naysayers. Needless to say, these price surges have flabbergasted some bloggers on GoCollect.com.  Why is this character so popular and why is everyone betting on this comic book?

It is quite possible we could see the onscreen appearance of Miles Morales in Spider-Man: No Way Home. After all, they are teasing a Spidey Multiverse concept; therefore, what better way to intro Miles? It works, but it means much of the Ultimate Fallout #4 price rise is speculation.

It could also be that this is a big moment for the franchise to expand with a new more inclusive version of Spidey. That is fine by me. I want to be an old man and see Spidey (in some format) still relevant in the future. The best way to do that is to expand the Spidey Universe with a different character that represents a diverse America. I truly hope they keep both heroes; the original is still the best. But I really enjoyed the animation version of Miles and thought it was well done and a lot of fun.

Title Grade Price 60-day Return Trend 2-Year Return Trend
Ultimate Fallout #4 9.8 $2701 -8.4% +150%
9.6 $818 -18.8% +104%
8.0 $625 +0.8% +415%

What do the numbers hint at?

These return trends are well within what I would have expected for this book. Over the last two years, we have seen an increase of +150% in grade 9.8 for Ultimate Fallout #4.  Further, all grades have participated. Even in grade 8.0, this book is selling for $625, shocker! However, the 60-day trend is less encouraging. I believe this is just profit-taking for those lucky enough to own a copy of this 21st Century Marvel character. Now is time to ring the register for these folks. I think the jury is still out and this book could go higher still. Over the last 60-days, the trend has been a decline in price as high as negative -18%. Be sure to take a look at the Ultimate Fallout #4 sales trends for yourself on our Comic Book Price Guide!

My analysis shows long-term growth, short-term decline, but over time I believe this will continue its upward trajectory. Currently, people are primarily buying and selling on rumor and innuendo. When a trailer or something definitive hits, this book will take off to the skyscrapers yet again.

In addition, when I reviewed the number of times this book exceeded $3000 over the last 60 days; I found ten instances of this happening. Ten! Yep, this is not a one-off. Ultimate Fallout #4 could possibly become one of the primary keys of the 21st Century; as well as, heir apparent in the 3000 Club.
