Heroes cannot exist without their villain counterparts. Below are examples of some interesting villain team-ups that took place that you might have never heard of. One revolving door in the movie world for comics is superhero team-ups. As presented currently in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), the marvelous team of the Avengers is labeled as the gold standard to compare to.
There are rumors of additional heroes joining together to form additional teams. Teams such as Young Avengers, the Illuminati, and Thunderbolts are creating fan buzz and excitement for the future.

So, everyone knows about the infamous "Sinister Six" villain team in The Amazing Spider-Man comics. This team consists of Spider-Man foes in trying to best the web-head. The original team has a collaboration of characters such as Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Electro, Mysterio, Sandman, and Kraven the Hunter. Over the years, the team does change a member or two. But it keeps the core characters throughout the comics. The first appearance of the original Sinister Six team-up can be found in Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1.

Superior Foes of Spider-Man

The peculiar villain team-up I am referring to is the "Superior Foes of Spider-Man". This team does not have your notable "A-List" villains that everyone is accustomed to. The team consists of characters such as Boomerang, Overdrive, Beetle, Speed Demon, and Shocker. The team goes around New York trying to commit heinous crimes in showing that they are the team to be reckoned with. The series is a fun read that spreads over 17 issues in 2013. Fans considered this series a sleeper hit. It surpassed expectations since it had an original run of 12 issues.

Dark Avengers

A serious consideration for a team to oppose the current MCU's "Avengers" could appear in the near future. The team I am referring to is the "Dark Avengers". Historically, this team has been led by the very resourceful Norman Osborne. Osborne is a very dangerous foe to many heroes, especially Spider-Man. He leads the team with characters such as Scorpion, Bullseye, The Sentry, Moonstone, and Daken.

There are other characters that joined to form different iterations of the team. There is a possibility of seeing this team be spun as an evil to oppose the many superhero teams coming to the MCU. In reality, there are way too many superhero teams and very few villain teams to oppose them.  The first appearance of the Dark Avengers can be found in Dark Avengers #1.

The Frightful Four

Marvel's First Family, The Fantastic Four, is pretty much confirmed to join the MCU. The rumor is that they will be introduced in the upcoming live-action third Ant-Man movie. Though, for every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction. This villain team I am referring to is the "Frightful Four".

The team is mirrored to combat The Fantastic Four and has very sneaky speculation for collectors. The team consists of powerful villains such as the evil Wizard, Sandman, Medusa, and Trapster and later versions with members consisting of Thundra, Titania, Klaw, and Lyra.  The first appearance of the team can be found in Fantastic Four #36. Lately, early issues of the original Fantastic Four comic series have been heating up and this particular issue is very under-valued overall. Thus, I highly grabbing this book as it is very affordable in all grades.
