The Eternals movie is a huge event for the MCU and more importantly Disney Corporation. This movie has spurred a meteoric rise in Eternals #1 which is dominating the Bronze Age. The Eternals are currently battling it out with She-Hulk for numero uno. They are the spawn of the Celestials the progenitors of Earth's genetic cesspool lottery. The Celestials (another bunch of ultra powered galactic level players) have put something in humanities genetic primordial ooze, and yep thousands of years later, boom! We get to enjoy Wolverine and mutants galore. Currently, Eternals #1 is the top most popular Bronze Age Comic. The speculative question is; when to buy and more importantly when to sell Eternals #1 prior to movie?

Eternals #1

The Eternals was created in 1976 by Jack "The King" Kirby he did both script and pencils on The Eternals #1. It was his Marvel version of the New Gods he worked on at DC that was scrubbed. When he came to back to Marvel he revisited Eternals. The Eternals are "an offshoot of the evolutionary process that created sentient life on Earth." The parents of the Eternals were the Celestials "beings of vast power that expected Eternals to be the defenders of the Earth" (Source: Wiki). The Eternals are expected to appear on the big screen on November 6th, 2020. Can these godlike beings provide us with glorious returns?

Short-Term (1-Year)

  • Grade 9.8 $1400 FMV returns positive +29%
  • Grade 9.2 $240 FMV returns positive +30.3%
  • Grade 8.5 $160 FMV returns positive +21.8%
  • Grade 6.5 $100 FMV returns positive +40.2%

The outcome here is a sure thing. As sure as, the Eternals one day flying onto the big screen. Bottom line the last year has been good for Eternals #1. We have more than a year of speculation before we get to the movie premiere and if you don't own one, you should. Another good book to invest in for the same series is The Eternals #5.

Eternals #5

Kirby created the entire series including this book in 1976. This key has the first appearance of characters like: Makkari, Domo, Thena, Zuras, and Cammenon. Yeah, the Eternals are a huge group kind of like the Avengers in the comics. Initially, the entire concept was taken from a book called "Chariots of the Gods" by Erich von Daniken which I often refer to as the "Ancient Astronaut Theory." Can this Eternal host provide profit in our speculative (Deviant) futures?

Short-Term (1-Year)

  • Grade 9.8 $800 FMV returns positive +68.6%
  • Grade 9.2 $120 FMV returns positive +145.8%
  • Grade 9.0 $80 FMV returns positive +134.7%
  • Grade 8.5 $75 FMV returns positive +76.8%

The true "Power of Olympia" is not in the beer or the title of this comic book, but in the profit margins that this book produces. Any book that has +145.8% after only one year of returns!!! Is a book to be aware of and try to invest in. Fortunately, I do own a copy. But I came a little late to the game. Finally, all you fans of Eternals are getting your time in the sun to shout, "I told you guys it was a great comic!" This comic is a solid return and good key and with profits to back that assertion up.

Warning:

When the movie hits you need to have already sold these books. My guess is Marvel will make money. However, the movie will not generate excitement for a sequel. Disney should stick with the bigger characters they have already poured money into and have returns on. You don't want to be there when the bad acting, awful costumes, and tepid lines hit the big screen. Like any good little speculator you want to be on your way to the bank when the show starts, "eternally" grateful you got out when you did!
