013123E-1-1024x536 TCG Gems in Heritage’s 2/1 Weekly AuctionCollecting trading cards has been a time-honored tradition for generations. From baseball cards to Pokemon cards, there’s a trading card for every kind of fan! Trading card games focus on the gaming aspect of certain trading cards — such as the previously mentioned Pokemon, as well as the widely popular Magic: The Gathering.

<Your name here>’s Pikachu (Birthday Pikachu)

Black Star promotional cards are always exciting to come across in an action. This <Your name here>’s Pikachu was a Wizard’s of the Coast promotional card that collectors had to mail away for. This specific card, sometimes called Birthday Pikachu, celebrates the player’s birthday with a special attack, but even if it isn’t your birthday — don’t fret. Pikachu can still do some damage.

This blue label CGC 8.5 holographic card is just plain fun to look at. While there are over 100 cards graded higher, mid-grade cards can be fun to collect without paying large sums of money. The median price on ungraded cards is $189, while blue-label CGC cards with higher grades tend to sell for under $200 respectively. If you are looking at this card for your collection, I wouldn’t pay more than $100 for it.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Injection Fairy Lily

Injection Fairy Lily is one of the cuter cards in the Legacy of Darkness set, and she’s here right on time for Valentine’s Day. While she might not be a high-attack card, once activated Lily can do some real damage. Lily also appeared in the anime4 a handful of times, and has attained a cult-like following with fans of the Fairy-type cards and characters in Yu-Gi-Oh!

This PSA NM-MT 8 secret rare first edition card is a great find. While there are over 200 Injection Fairy Lily cards graded higher, mid-grade cards are a great buy for collectors who don’t want to pay near-mint prices. This card is also not uncommonly hard to find and has been reprinted. The median price on ungraded cards is $20, and Heritage sold a similar card in November of 2021 or $408. If you’re looking for a cute card for your collection that won’t break the bank, look no further.

If you’re more into playing trading card games than collecting them, this week’s auction has a few lots to bid on! This specific group is for the first set released for the game, but these cards are the third printing. Bulk lots such as these may not be good buys for those with an investment mindset, these lots are a wonderful way for new and old players to add to their decks. Bulk lots such as these are also great for those who use TCGs in various crafting projects. While I personally wouldn’t pay more than $70 for a lot such as this, you may be more comfortable paying more (or even less). As stated prior, this auction has seven bulk lots of cards to bid on. Usually, these are sold as-is, so be aware before buying.
