Tales From The Starlight Drive In TPBMedia Release -- They like us, they really like us.

"TALES OF THE STARLIGHT DRIVE-IN" won the treasured BEST GRAPHIC NOVEL OF THE YEAR award in the 2009 Comics Buyer's Guide Annual Fan Awards!

The book handily beat work by giants like Alan Moore and Brian Azzarello and garnered a whopping 53 percent of the vote.

On behalf of myself and the dozens of artists, colorists, inkers and letterers who worked several years on the project, my humble thanks.

And welcome to a whole new way of looking at "TALES OF THE STARLIGHT DRIVE-IN" as past meets present. "STARLIGHT," in all its Technicolor (and occasional black and white) glory, is now available right on your home computer, courtesy of the folks at Visionary Comics Studio.

The book has been broken up into crunchy bites that will available every third Wednesday through Visionary and Drive-Thru Comics. Other digital platforms will follow, including mobile versions.

Check it out at: www.visionarycomics.com or go directly to their selection on Drive-Thru at… http://comics.drivethrustuff.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=2552&filters=0_0_0&affiliate_id=237305&src=[VCSMain]

While the book is designed so that stories will all stand alone, read the whole thing to get the full impact. The ending still brings a tear to my eye -- and I wrote the thing.

All the existing Phantom Jack comics are also featured at the site, and look for the long-awaited PHANTOM JACK: THE NOWHERE MAN AGENDA, from IDW Comics next Spring.

For the folks who prefer holding the book in your hands, there are plenty of copies of it available at comic shops and book stores and on Amazon.com. Though I would order it through my local comic shop first, they need our support in these tough economic times.

Thanks for reading the book, regardless of whichever method you use. And please remember to replace the speaker on your way out.
