You have waited long enough! Time for a new list of Blue Ocean books! These are some books that were hot but now have cooled off due to collectors focusing on other books. So while everyone else is jumping on Ultimate Fallout #4, which don't get me wrong I love and have, I wanted to give you some titles that have fallen by the waist side. Want to find out which ones made this list this round? Keep reading below...

Without further adieu, here are 5 Blue Ocean books to wet the appetite of any collector...

Fantastic Four #66 - First (cameo) appearance of HIM

Talk about a beautiful cover. This book features the first appearance of HIM, who we saw hinted at towards the end of Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Currently, we are still hearing little whispers of Adam Warlock making his way to the MCU but nothing set in stone yet. However, no one is jumping on this book right now making it easy for anyone to scoop up. Just on Fee-bay, oops sorry, eBay alone I have seen many copies under $60 in pretty decent shape. This may not be the next grail but it is still a great book to snatch up before Adam Warlock gets announced.

Fantastic Four #67 - First full appearance of HIM

Although some say that his first full appearance is in Thor #165, Marvel mentions that it is Fantastic Four #67 here. With the iconic cocoon cover, how could you not want this book in your collection? I mentioned this book too because if you are going to get #66 you might as well get #67. Just like when you get Fantastic Four #48, you gotta get Fantastic Four #49 and #50. They just all go together. Now this one is a little more pricey than the prior one but much more worth it as well. Plenty of these books going around for under $100 right now. Just remember, these two books are the first appearances of HIM. The name Adam Warlock does not get used till Marvel Premiere #1 when HIM is given the name Warlock by the High Evolutionary.

Iron Fist #14 - First full appearance of Sabretooth

Ok, so the prices are slowly starting to creep up on these books here but the books are getting better! With so much talk about Wolverine and the X-Men, Sabretooth is bound to make a leaping appearance. The rivalry between Logan and Sabretooth is iconic, to say the least! I still remember seeing them tear each other apart on the 90's cartoon series. Anyone who has seen the show and loves Wolverine needs this book. It has had some spikes in the past but right now it is comfortable hanging out on the back burner with no one paying too much attention to it. I have seen some good deals in the $200 and less range for this book.

Amazing Spider-Man #121 - Death of Gwen Stacy

There has always been a slight schism between Spider-Man fans as to who is the best, Mary Jane or Gwen Stacy. Mary Jane is the one that Peter marries but Gwen is the one mistake she can never live down. Gwen is the one failure that he can never live down. When Green Goblin threw Gwen off a bridge, Spidey tries to save her by shooting a web to grab her. Unfortunately, the pressure of her sudden stop due to the pull of the web caused her to break her neck and die. Gwen's death is one that he feels solely responsible for. But wait! There is a bright side! She has made an amazing comeback in the movie, Into the Spider-Verse, giving her a future that has yet to be written in the MCU. Copies are selling in the $200's and below for a low to mid-grade book. It will behoove you to grab this book up now before it is out of reach.

Amazing Spider-Man #361 - First full appearance of Carnage

This one has seen some spikes, especially after seeing Cletus Kasady in the Venom movie. Carnage is the offspring of our favorite anti-hero, Venom. He will be the key character in the next movie Venom: Let there be Carnage. It has dropped slightly due to the attention of collectors being placed elsewhere, but once we get closer to the trailer for Venom 2, it will spike right back up again. In the high grades, it has been holding steady at about $400. Mid-grade books are still very affordable, especially if you look in the right places. I say this would be a great book to grab at a great price. It all depends on how good Carnage is played on the big screen. Either way, I am glad to see Carnage finally getting the limelight. There are so many possibilities for him including bringing in the Red Goblin! So go find yourself a deal and snag this while you can!

Bottom Line

I hope I have been able to shed some light or inspired you to look at other books, not on the hotlist.
