The historic Superman: Son of Kal-El #5 will be reprinted, and said reprint will be available on December 28.

Following the news that the first four issues of SUPERMAN: SON OF KAL-EL are being reprinted, the fan excitement for the series continues to grow as DC will also be reprinting the milestone fifth issue of the series. If you missed out on ordering the first time, fans can now order a copy of SUPERMAN: SON OF KAL-EL #5 at their local comic book shops by Sunday, November 28 and it will be available on the same day as SUPERMAN: SON OF KAL-EL #6, Tuesday, December 28.

From writer Tom Taylor (DARK KNIGHTS OF STEEL), artist John Timms (HARLEY QUINN), colorist HI-FI (WONDER WOMAN) and letterer Dave Sharpe (BATGIRL), issue #5 of SUPERMAN: SON OF KAL-EL is now available in comic book shops and digital retailers. After initially striking up a friendship with reporter Jay Nakamura, he and Jon become romantically involved in the pages of SUPERMAN: SON OF KAL-EL #5. Following a scene where Superman mentally and physically burns out from trying to save everyone that he can, Jay is there to care for the Man of Steel.

Writer Tom Taylor said: "It's been incredible to see all the positive fan reactions and I want to thank everyone who reached out to DC and our creative team to show their support. I also want to acknowledge all the messages I received from all over the world from people who let me know what Superman coming out meant to them. I heard from people who burst into happy tears when they saw the news. I had messages from parents of LGBTQ+ young people, who told me how important this was for their families. I heard from people who read the news, and then came out to their family and friends that day. And not just young people, people in their thirties, in their forties. Superman has always been an inspirational hero. I'm glad he's still inspiring today."

Taylor added: "When you set out to tell a story like this, you hope the positive reaction will far outweigh any negative. It doesn't get much more positive than every single issue selling out. As a Superman fan, I couldn't be happier that this series and this Superman is going to be read by so many people."

SUPERMAN: SON OF KAL-EL #5 second printing features a special version of the variant cover originally created by Travis Moore (NIGHTWING) & Tamra Bonvillain (WONDER WOMAN) for the fifth issue.
