Sometimes, comics can be as easy as 1, 2, 3…

We’re proud to present you with three reasons why picking up the first issue of TRINITY – DC’s latest weekly series — this week is, for lack of a better term, a no-brainer:

1. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman together – every week, for a year.

2. The first major DC work by superstar artist Mark Bagley -- every week, for a year.

3. Veteran DC writer Kurt Busiek doing what he does best -- crafting a slam-bam superhero epic, in the vein of classics like JLA/AVENGERS and MARVELS. Again – say it with us – every week, for a year.

TRINITY kicks off with an ominous, prophetic dream shared by only Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, hinting at important, lasting changes for our heroes. With the mysterious stage set, Busiek and Bagley kick off a year’s worth of stories that focus on exploring the unique bond that brings together DC’s three greatest heroes, forming a trinity of power unmatched in the DCU.

It’s no stretch to say that the members of DC’s trinity of heroes are integral and vital parts of every major DC storyline – whether it’s how other, lesser-known heroes pick up the slack in their absence (52), or what happens decades from now, when the definition of heroism becomes blurred (Kingdom Come) – and it is their unique and complex relationship that drives the heart of the DCU.

In addition to the snazzy logo design work of award-winning graphic artist Chip Kidd and 12-page lead features by Busiek and Bagley, the new weekly series also boasts an ongoing co-feature from Busiek and writer Fabian Nicieza and a rotating artistic cast that includes Scott McDaniel, Tom Derenick and Mike Norton, spotlighting the mysterious connection between several villains watching over our three heroes and introducing key, new characters into the fabric of the DCU, and TRINITY.

Iconic characters in adventures presented by first-rate talent – every week, for a year.

Simple, isn’t it?
