This is the second installment of a deep dive into investment possibilities related to the introduction of a new Spidey suit and the 25 variations that are options.  In Part 1,  we took a look at trends and ROI when it came to the Black Suit Symbiote introduced in Amazing Spider-Man #252 and Marvel Super-Heroes Secret Wars #8, and Spider-Man's Future Foundation Suit featured on the cover of Amazing Spider-Man #658.

Let's look at three new Spider-Man suit investment possibilities...

Spider-Man 2211 Suit

OK, this one is a little obscure but interesting.  In the year 2211, Max Borne is Spider-Man.  Max and his suit debuted in the 1995 one-shot Spider-Man 2099 Meets Spider-Man #nn.  His suit was light blue and red, had a mechanical helmet and 4 red mechanical arms (think Doc Ock).  The issue features Peter Parker, Venom, and a temporal energy generator which causes Peter to find himself in the future where he encounters Max Borne.  So, what are the numbers?

I think most people are not that aware of this suit.  There are only 19 total graded copies on the CGC Census, and there have been 6 recent sales of this book in 9.8, with the last one being August, 2020 for a FMV of $125.  But here's the interesting part.  The return on the 9.8 grade of this issue is...+71.8%!!!  That got my attention.  Conclusion?  An interesting possibility for an "invest in the suit".  Keep a look out in those dollar bins and slab away!

The Black Cloth Suit

Wait a minute!  Is this the Black Suit from Amazing Spider-Man #252?  Answer: Nope, different suit!  11 issues after Amazing Spider-Man #252 in ASM #263 and also in Spectacular Spider-Man #99,  the Black Cloth Suit debuted after Peter Parker was able to remove the symbiote suit.  The Black Cat made him a non-living replica of the symbiote suit.  Why?  Because she thought it was sexier than his basic red and blue suit.  Let's take a look at Spectacular Spider-Man #99 and see how investment-worthy that issue is.

Most collectors are not aware of how the black suit continued in a similar but different form. There are 49 total graded copies on the CGC Census, and there have been 21 recent sales of this book in 9.8 for an FMV of $110.  The return on a 9.8 grade is...+31.3%!!!  I think this issue is definitely worth looking for and flipping.  Let's look at one more "invest in the suit" possibility.

The Bombastic Bag-Man Suit

I referenced this suit in Part 1 of Spider-Man: Invest in the Suit.  This suit consisted of an old Fantastic Four uniform with a paper bag on Spider-Man's head.  After Spider-Man was able to rid himself of the symbiote suit, but before Black Cat made him a black cloth suit, Spider-Man had to resort to the Bombastic Bag-Man Suit in Amazing Spider-Man #258.

This issue is the most valuable one of the three we are profiling.  There are 658 total graded copies on the CGC Census with 32 recent sales.  At a 9.8 grade, the FMV on GoCollect is $200.  The return is trending at -3.1%.   This suit is definitely one to watch for possible investment.  After all, who doesn't love Spider-Man in a Bombastic Bag-Man Suit?
