Sleeper Picks For Every Upcoming MCU Project, Part 3With so many different MCU projects out there and comics to choose from, it can be tough to find investment opportunities that are still affordable and likely to generate a profit.  Fortunately, we here at GoCollect have you covered!

Fantastic Four

Sleeper Picks For Every Upcoming MCU Project, Part 3

Pick: Fantastic Four Vol. 1 #570, the first appearance of the Council of Reeds

Reasoning: This book is a solid, low-cost bet that could pay dividends down the line.   Given MCU Phase 4's strong focus on multiversal stories and the Fantastic Four's heavy familiarity with them, it would make sense for the film to explore explicitly multiversal concepts like a council comprised of Reed Richards from different universes.

Untitled Wakanda Series

Sleeper Picks For Every Upcoming MCU Project, Part 3

Pick: Black Panther Vol. 3 #1, the first appearances of the Dora Milaje, Nakia, Okoye, and Zuri

Reasoning: Multiple reputable outlets have confirmed that this series will be about Okoye's origin.  I do not understand how the book is not more expensive; it has basically been guaranteed to go up in value.

I am Groot

Pick: Annihilation: Conquest - Star-Lord #1, the first meeting of Rocket and Groot

Reasoning: Interestingly, the MCU has never shown or told audiences how Rocket and Groot first met.  Considering how important the two characters are to each other, it would not be at all surprising if I Am Groot finally told this story.  Plus, as I mentioned in a previous article, the Annihilation: Conquest books are a good investment in general.

X-Men '97

Pick: X-Men '92 Incentive variants

Reasoning: Neither volume of X-Men '92 was heavily ordered, making both of their incentive variants much rarer.  With no plot details about the series released yet, the only move for speculators is to try and identify rarer books like these variants that are specifically tied into the X-Men: The Animated Series version of the characters.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year

Pick: Spidey

Reasoning: The only known details of this project are that it will be animated and will focus on a young Peter Parker still learning the ropes of what it means to be Spider-Man.  That latter point is basically the entire premise of the 12-issue Spidey series, making it one of the few viable speculation plays at this stage in the show's development.

Something worth considering: so long as the episodes are less than 44 minutes long, Marvel Studios can use almost any Spider-Man character they want without needing to get permission from Sony.

Blade

Pick: Captain Britain and MI13 #8, the first meeting of Blade and The Black Knight

Reasoning: Based on the ending of The Eternals, investors can make an educated guess that the Black Knight will be an important character in Blade.  If that turns out to be the case, the book where they first met could become a wise investment.
