She-Hulk is poised to make her mark on the MCU in 2022 with her Disney+ starring role. The buzz has created plenty of interest for She-Hulk keys.

Audiences don’t know what to expect from She-Hulk. In what sounds like Marvel’s attempt at Ally McBeal, She-Hulk will be a legal comedy with a superhero twist. However, the entire show won’t exist in the courtroom since Hulk, Abomination, and Titania have all been announced for the series’ cast. How much action we’ll see in She-Hulk remains to be seen, but the real action has already started for these key issues.

SAVAGE SHE-HULK #1

When it comes to She-Hulk keys, there is no replacing 1980’s Savage She-Hulk #1.

This Bronze Age staple has been gaining attention since the She-Hulk announcement, and the inflation won’t stop anytime soon.

As we all know, when it comes to comic collecting, the first appearance is the all-mighty king of keys, and investors and speculators have been banking on this issue to turn a profit for years now.

When the series premieres, that’s when this issue’s FMVs will reach their peaks.

INCREDIBLE HULK #282

From her first appearance, Marvel has tied Jennifer (totally not Jessica) Walters to Bruce Banner. In fact, they’re cousins, and his blood transfusion is what turned her into She-Hulk in the first place.

However, they did not have their first superhero team up until 1983’s Incredible Hulk #282.

Since Mark Ruffalo is set to appear as the Hulk in the show, this issue will spike when fans see the two Hulks meet in the MCU.

SENSATIONAL SHE-HULK #1

Marvel has made it clear that She-Hulk will be a legal comedy rather than a straightforward superhero series.

We are sure to see Jennifer “Hulk up” at different times throughout the show, though most of the action will take place in the courtroom with zany antics along the way. There is a likely possibility that she will break the proverbial fourth wall and speak directly to the viewers, a trope that John Byrne introduced to the character in this issue.

The other part of the equation is that it features a classic piece of She-Hulk artwork that cover hunters will add to their shopping lists.

SHE-HULK #2 (2014)

This could be the sleeper pick among the She-Hulk keys. At the moment, hardly anyone is paying attention to 2014’s She-Hulk #2. What makes this an interesting pick is that it features the first appearance of She-Hulk’s law firm, the Law Office of Jennifer Walters. With the streaming series focusing on her career as a lawyer, it is likely we will see the firm in the show That also leaves room for the live-action debuts of her employees, including Hell Cat, Angie Huang, and Hei Hei. While I don’t expect She-Hulk #2 to become a major key, seeing the firm named in the show will definitely add value to this issue.

SEEING GREEN

In the comics, She-Hulk has been a fixture in more than one high-profile team. That leaves me wondering if we’ll see her add more than her legal advice to the overall MCU. After all, she was part of both the Avengers and the Fantastic Four at different points in her history. Will she replace her famous cousin on an updated Avengers squad or fill in for the Thing in the FF? The latter could be the subject of an episode of What If…?, but that’s a topic for another blog.
