Kevin Feige did not disappoint on Saturday night at SDCC! He revealed the entire slate for MCU Phase 5, which begins in early 2023 and ends in July 2024. Much of Phase 5 we knew about already, but some of big surprises included an EIGHTEEN episode Disney+ series entitled Daredevil: Born Again.

I'm going to discuss three Phase Five-related books below that could jump in value in the future.

Sleeper Pick: Captain America: Steve Rogers #1

As Feige announced, Marvel will release Captain America: New World Order on the big screen on May 3, 2024. This is pure speculation on my part, but I think we're going to see Hydra Supreme (Steve Rogers as a Hydra agent) make an appearance for the following reasons.

We know Phase Five is part of the "Multiverse Saga" so a New World Order will likely relate to the Multiverse in some way. Imagine if Sam and Bucky had to fight Steve as Hydra Supreme in a multiversal setting due to an incursion? Talk about dramatic.

You can find the first appearance of Hydra Supreme in Captain America: Steve Rogers #1 in dollar bins. It might be worth picking up a few of these and putting them away until 2024.

Buy the Dip: Fantastic Four #353

Back in May, Kevin Feige confirmed that Loki is the MCU's most watched show on Disney+. Specifically, Loki racked up a staggering 5.23 billion minutes of watch time. Loki's popularity is in large part due to the chemistry between Tom Hiddleston's Loki and Owen Wilson's Mobius M. Mobius.

While your average collector can't afford Loki's first appearance, Mobius' first appearance in Fantastic Four #353 has plummeted during the past year. Just over a year ago, a CGC 9.8 copy of this book sold for an all-time high of $671.80. A year later, this same book sold for a mere $198, having lost a whopping 70% of its value.

We already know Mobius will return in season two; it might be worth picking up a copy or two of this book before we see a trailer in six to eight months' time. I doubt it'll ever reach $700 again; however, no one should be surprised if it recovers 50% of its lost value.

Don't Catch the Falling Knife: Daredevil #9

Another key issue that has plummeted in value is Daredevil #9 -- the first appearance of Echo. Echo will appear in her own show on Disney+ just before Loki season two. In May 2021, a CGC 9.8 copy of this book peaked at over $1,001.13. Just last week, this same book sold for just $339 on eBay, having lost approximately 2/3 of its value.

Don't catch this falling knife (yet). I think this book's value will fall a bit more. Consider a comparable book with first appearances of second-tier characters: Black Panther #1. This issue, published in 1998, contains the first appearances of Okoye and Nakia. According to GoCollect, the FMV of a CGC copy of this issue is $250. I think Daredevil #9's value falls in a similar range.
