Our recent auction with Psychedelic Art exchange was a success! We auctioned off 36 more pieces of concert history from Mike King's historic Ultrasounds collection. Each poster was designed to advertise a show in the Pacific Northwest between 1989 and 2006. Here's a brief look at the results.

Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros in 1999 Receives Top Bid!

This incredible poster received the highest bid of any pieces in the auction and went for $600 after 13 bids! This isn't too surprising, considering the history behind Strummer and The Clash. Additionally, this particular piece was in the lead for nearly the entire duration of the auction, and was also my personal favorite.

Second Place: Oasis in 1994

The poster which received the largest number of bids and the second highest bid was this Oasis poster from 1994. After 22 total bids, it went for $570! This one was a bit of a surprise, as it ended up being one of the top pieces in the auction during the final hours of bidding.

The Cramps in 1998 Comes in Third

In third place, we have this incredible poster featuring The Cramps in 1998. Posters featuring The Cramps tend to do pretty well at auction, and this one went for $270 after receiving 11 total bids. This was another one of my favorite pieces in the auction, something I'd be really excited to win. Though it did fairly well for the duration of the auction, it also received a fair amount of higher bids in the final hours.

Other Notable Sales

There were several other posters that did very well in this auction. These include Fugazi in 1989, Jane's Addiction in 1991, Motörhead in 2000, and The Go-Gos in 1998. Posters featuring Faith No More and The Chemical Brothers also did fairly well.

Additionally, we were able to raise over $2,000 to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina! We're always happy to support their mission to end hunger. Make sure to keep an eye out for future auction featuring these amazing pieces from the Ultrasounds collection. These posters are definitely something worth having in your collection.
