VGLosers delivers an overview of the current Resident Evil miniseries from DC/Wildstorm, that was supposed to be a prequel to the Resident Evil videogame.
News broke last year that Wildstorm, the former Image Comics home of comic book superstar Jim Lee and now an imprint of DC Comics, had made a deal to create a new Resident Evil comic book series that would be a prequel to Resident Evil 5... Fans were excited, and why not? RE5 was poised to be a great game and a solid backstory from Jim Lee's guys would only make it that much better. Right? Instead of a great comic, readers found a story about Agent Mina Gere in a space station full of zombies and Agent Holiday Sugarman going after T-Virus samples that crashed to Earth on a satellite in the nation of Grezbekistan. It's not sounding too good, is it? On top of that, Chris Redfield doesn't even make an appearance.
