With so many different comics published by Marvel every month, it can be really tough to keep up with stories, let alone speculate on them.  Fortunately, GoCollect is here to help!!  Read on to find out what is going on in the Marvel Universe and how you can make some money off of it!

The Marvel Universe Just Got 900% Bigger

During the recent Fantastic Four event, Reckoning War, it was revealed that the Watchers had blocked off about 9/10 of the Universe in order to keep their oldest enemy, the Reckoning, at bay.  The event ended with a newly reinvigorated Uatu removing the barriers and finally making the 616 universes whole again.  This has some seismic implications for Marvel Universe.  The number of potential storylines that could abound from such a radical expansion is incredible.  All of a sudden there are huge new swathes of territory for groups like the Badoon or the Kree/Skrull Alliance to conquer and hosts of new alien races to defend against.

Spec Advice: Stock up key books for cosmic characters like the Guardians of the Galaxy, Nova, and the Silver Surfer.  Also, be on the lookout for new alien races from this previously unknown region of space.  The most likely place for them to show up right now would be in X-Men: Red and potentially Marauders.

Shang-Chi's World Is Getting Way Bigger

Shang-Chi is a really fascinating character who has never really been given the treatment he deserves.  That is what makes Gene Luen Yang's work on the character so incredibly interesting, both for readers and speculators.  Yang is masterfully leveraging the best elements of the character's eponymous film while massively expanding his supporting cast and redefining what a Shang-Chi story can be.

In current comics, Shang-Chi has taken over his father's evil empire and is trying to make it a force for good.  In this effort, he is frequently aided and harmed by his siblings (all of whom were created by Yang).  When writers are given the opportunity to radically expand a character's world, the books can often become very valuable.  Exciting things are happening with Shang-Chi, so don't miss out.

Spec Advice: Look for copies of the most recent Shang Chi books written by Yang.  They are phenomenal and introduce several story elements well positioned to stand the test of time.

Tiger Division Keeps Showing Up

Tiger Division is the official superhero team of South Korea.  They have been slowly, but surely, gaining greater prominence in the Marvel Universe over the last few years.  Jed MacKay in particular (who is well known for reusing characters, both in general and those he creates) has played a big role in this, having created all, but one of the members and regularly incorporating them into his stories.  With the recent announcement of a Tiger Division solo series, now is a good time to invest.

Spec Advice: White Fox first appeared in issue one of the most recent Contest of Champions series and has starred in two one-shots (Future Fight Firsts: White Fox and Death of Doctor Strange: White Fox).  All of these books have some great variants that are worth checking out.  Taegukgi, the leader of Tiger Division, first appeared in Taskmaster Vol. 3 #3.  This book has several interesting variants and subsequent printing.  The rest of Tiger Division first appeared in Black Cat Annual Vol. 2 #1.  This book has a Walmart variant and a 2nd print that prominently features Tiger Division on the cover.
