January 12th, 2009 – In its debut appearance at the New York Comic-Con, Radical Publishing will feature daily raffles and signings at booth #1415 with a roster of special guests drawn from the top talent in the comics industry, including Jim Steranko, Arthur Suydam, Steve Niles, David Hine, Rick Remender and Steve Pugh. Fans who visit the Radical booth will find the company's complete library of titles, including HOTWIRE: REQUIEM FOR THE DEAD #1, from Steve Pugh & Warren Ellis, and SHRAPNEL: ARISTEIA RISING #2, both released early exclusively for the show.
Also available will be a deluxe free preview book of Radical Publishing’s new 2009 titles, showcasing the work of such talents as Luis Royo, John Bolton, Clayton Crain, Nick Percival and Joseph Kosinski (director of the heavily anticipated upcoming Disney TRON sequel TR2N), in addition to the creators signing throughout the weekend at the Radical booth.
Radical will also host a special panel Saturday, Feb. 7 in Room 1A07 from 5:15 p.m.--6:15 p.m., with guests Jim Steranko, Arthur Suydam, Steve Niles, David Hine, Rick Remender, Steve Pugh and Sam Sarkar spotlighting their newest titles for Radical Publishing. After the panel, Radical will conduct a special drawing in which winners receive a framed poster from one of the featured creators: HERCULES: THE KNIVES OF KUSH, signed by Jim Steranko; CHOLLY AND FLYTRAP: CENTER CITY, signed by Arthur Suydam; FVZA: FEDERAL ZOMBIE AND VAMPIRE AGENCY, signed by David Hine; CITY OF DUST: A PHILIP KHROME STORY, signed by Steve Niles; THE LAST DAYS OF AMERICAN CRIME, signed by Rick Remender; HOTWIRE: REQUIEM FOR THE DEAD, signed by Steve Pugh; and CALIBER: FIRST CANON OF JUSTICE, signed by Sam Sarkar.
Each poster remains limited to one printing, making them highly valuable collector items. Additionally, panel guests will receive a limited and numbered special 3-D edition of the Radical preview book, with the numbers used to determine the winners of the drawing.
