Welcome back to another look at oddball items at Heritage's weekly comic auctions! If you're new, welcome! Each week, we look at the Memorabilia tab under the weekly comic auctions to see what overlooked treasures we may find. In the past we've looked at napkins, figures, and more! The weekly comic auctions are a great place to find rare books and unique collectibles or investments. This week has some true gems, so let's dive in.

Rumiko Takahashi 35th Anniversary Limited Edition Uchiwa Set

Rumiko Takahashi is one of the most celebrated manga-ka (comic creator/artist) in Japan. She is a nationally celebrated artist and was even awarded the purple National Medal of Honor in Japan, noting her artistic achievement over the course of her career -- which spans over 40 years. Takahashi's works include Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku, and Inu Yasha. Her work has been translated all over the world -- I started reading Ranma 1/2 in 1994! Her works have stood the test of time, and she is one of the most popular shonen (boys) manga-ka.

This set of three uchiwa (Japanese fans) is a stunning set. These were only available in Japan and came out in the early 2010s, celebrating Takahashi's 35th anniversary as a manga-ka. This set includes Lum from Urusei Yatsura, Inu Yasha from Inu Yasha, and Kyoko from Maison Ikkoku. Heritage notes this set as being in excellent condition, with the box showing minor wear. Similar sets have been listed on eBay for $400+. This may be your chance to get a truly unique item at a low price.

Spider-Man Misc Items Set

Calling all Spider-Man fans! This mixed lot of 29 items is the easiest way to beef up your collection. Included in the lot is a Black Symbiote Spider-Man statue, web blasters, the Spider-Man X-Men Super Nintendo game, Spider-Man Monopoly, and more.

Many of the items here could be worth taking a gamble on if you're an investor, but this is a lot for true Spider-Man collectors. This version of Spider-Man Monopoly routinely sells for around $20 on eBay, while the SNES game has sold between $35 - $56. If you're collecting video games, this game shouldn't be overlooked. Even a CIB can be a worthwhile investment! Heritage notes this lot as being in overall excellent condition.

Daredevil Super Hero Club Pin

Here's something you don't see every day. This Super Hero Club Pin featuring Daredevil, was released alongside several other Marvel character pins in 1966. These are considered rare and usually do well in auctions. In August of 2022, a Daredevil pin still in its original packaging sold for $399, while loose pins of Iron Man and Captain America sold for $199 each in June of 2022.

This is certainly a niche item, but one can not overlook how damn cool it is. Heritage notes this as being in Very Good condition and might be a sleeper hit in this auction.

Heritage also has a lot of various Daredevil pins from different eras for auction as well. If you're a pin collector, this is a set that can't be missed!
