Welcome back to this week's Oddball Auction Items! This week, we're looking at the weekly Sunday - Monday comic auctions at Heritage, which start August 14th. While the weekly auctions always bring some hot books and impressive keys, they also bring a healthy dose of memorabilia as well. In the past, we've looked at Marvel napkins, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle hockey sticks, and then some. This week I've found some pretty cool items that should not be overlooked by collectors!

Batcoins Group of 17

Here's something you don't see every day -- a near-complete collection of Batcoins from Space Magic Limited. Released in 1966, these coins were found in snack boxes as prizes. Fans could even get a bat-shaped coin holder! There were 20 of these coins in the collection, and this lot contains #1-7, #9-13, and #16-20. Heritage has these listed in excellent condition, with little to no scratching.

If you're a Batman collector, this could be a worthwhile find. Judging from past auctions, this lot could sell for around $100.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Slumber and Play Tent Set

I absolutely had one of these playhouses as a kid. My sister and I would spend hours in our "sewer fort" on Saturday mornings, trying to figure out how to defeat Shredder. This lot of eight includes two slumber bags, a slumber play tent, two slumber mats, a play house, and two slumber tents. This is a pretty impressive lot, especially given that everything has been unopened. While I wouldn't advocate opening and using them, the bags could double as a pretty awesome gym or travel bag. The comps for these items on eBay are impressive, so if you can get this lot for under $120 you're getting an absolute steal. The blue slumber tent recently sold for $86 on eBay!

Funko x Super7 (reAction) ALIEN Egg Chamber Playset

Super7 is hands down one of my favorite toy manufacturers, and I love it when they do collaborations with other companies.

This ALIEN Egg Chamber Playset was created with plastic figure conglomerate Funko, creating a visual masterpiece of a toy. This is a part of Super7's ReAction line, meaning it is designed to look vintage. From the throwback packaging to the detail on the set, this would be a fantastic addition to any ALIEN or general toy collection.

This playset was released in 2014 and is still unopened in its original box. A similar playset sold on eBay in May of 2022 for $139, so expect to pay in that neighborhood. Figures are not included but can be found on eBay for under $20 each.

Street Sharks International Samples

Street Sharks was a somewhat popular cartoon show in the mid-1990s about half man, half sharks that would fight crime. The animation was not half bad, and I genuinely enjoyed the show. This lot of samples -- items that were most likely sent out as press kits for media outlets -- contain toys, a backpack, children's shoes, cups, and more.

Heritage notes that these items are in excellent condition, and, judging by the photo, some items are brand new. Some Street Shark toys are rare and can go for over $100 on eBay, but without a full list of what's here, it's hard to tell. This may be a worthwhile gamble for the right person.
