Those words uttered by Cyclops changed the game. This is when Cyclops along side the X-Men, decided to end the Avengers, in fear that they will never allow mutants to live in peace.

Kevin Feige is a chess master when it comes to the MCU. He plays the long game and plays it well. With the recent addition of the X-Men, many questions have been directed at Feige, especially those concerning the Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers. However, according to sources, Feige has hinted at the fact that Marvel is working on projects to place the X-Men and the Avengers together in Avengers Vs. X-Men. Now honestly, I love the story of the Eternals and the Celestial's, and I believe this will help usher in the cosmic age, but they will never reach Endgame status. However with Hickman, who also wrote Avengers Vs. X-Men, KILLING it with House of X and Powers of X who knows how this epic battle will come to light.

Although many know the teams, not many know the story of how Hope Summers and the Phoenix Force caused a rift between the X-Men and the Avengers. If you want to know where to start or which keys to grab before the market gets hot, just keep on reading...

X-Men #9

Now if you are going to start from the beginning, then start from the beginning. Here is the first time ever the X-Men and the Avengers meet and battle. This also is the first appearance of Lucifer from the Quist alien race. On the high end a graded 9.8 is valued at whopping $25,000, but for those like me, you can still find a very nice low grade copy ranging from $80-$200. But if I were you I would start looking right away. According to our records, in just the past two months a total of 10 copies of this book were sold. May be cold now but the fire is just getting started.

Avengers Vs. X-Men #1

Here is the meat and potatoes, or for vegans, the potatoes and potatoes. This is where our story begins in a way. Although both teams have met and fought before, this run by Hickman is what supposedly Feige will be using. Here we have Hope Summers, who is being targeted by the Phoenix Force to be used as a host. Cyclops and the X-Men see Hope as the embodiment of her name. She is the one to save all mutants from extinction, at least that is what they hoped for. Capt. America and the Avengers hear about this issue and want to protect Hope so that the Phoenix Force doesn't use her. Now what's the big deal with Hope having all that power? The Phoenix Force. This force has the strength and power to annihilate almost anything in its way.

Avengers Vs. X-Men #5

In this issue we get a special treat, not only is it the first appearance of the Phoenix Force 5 (Cyclops, Emma Frost, Magik, Colossus, and Namor), but we get the debut of the "Phoenix Killer" armor from Iron Man. I wouldn't personally classify this as a must have key, but still a good key to have when this movie gets paid. Right now, according to our census there is approximately 26 copies that are graded, but raw copies can probably be found in the back bin for very cheap.

Avengers Vs. X-Men #7

We have finally come to the last key. This book is great to have, especially how it ties in with other stories. Here we see Namor, who is working with the X-Men, declare war on Wakanda. In Endgame, when they mention earthquakes below Wakanda, many assume it's Namor the Sub-Mariner coming out. So now not only do you have these two titans clashing, you also have Namor flooding the streets of the capitol city of Wakanda attacking the Avengers.

We all saw how amazing the Avengers series was on the big screen. Imagine having the amazing minds of Disney and Marvel bring together these two power houses. The possibilities are endless!
