Papercutz, a leading tween/teen graphic-novel publisher, has teamed up with uclick, a leader in digital entertainment, to bring two familiar titles to uclick’s GoComics mobile comic book reader. Joining uclick’s growing lineup of titles that entertain mobile users worldwide are the famous female sleuth Nancy Drew and the classic detective team of The Hardy Boys.

Both series, featuring original comics created for Papercutz graphic novels, have just debuted on the popular mobile comic book reader. The comic book reader delivers full-color adventures in a rich, multi-panel format, giving the user flexibility to navigate through the comics for hours of entertainment on the go. “Our mobile comic book reader brings the updated adventures of these timeless heroes to mobile screens everywhere,” says uclick CEO Chris Pizey, “Papercutz has done an incredible job producing Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys stories that appeal to a modern, tech-savvy audience, and we’re thrilled to be a part of their efforts to reach new readers through mobile phones.” Papercutz and uclick will release fresh chapters weekly. They can be downloaded by contacting m.gocomics.com on most cell phones.

The detective team of brothers Frank and Joe Hardy have kept up with the times since their debut in 1927. In 2005, Papercutz launched its line of Hardy Boys graphic novels by sending the boys to the war-torn Middle East on an action-packed rescue mission. Nancy Drew, created in 1930, has been updated as well. In 2005, Papercutz released the first of its Nancy Drew graphic novels with manga-style illustrations and modern technology, giving the girl detective and her friends a fresh look and a 21st-century edge. To date, Papercutz’s Hardy Boys books have sold nearly 300,000 copies, and Nancy Drew has sold more than 350,000.

“We’re very excited to have our all-new comics of these fabled series reach yet another audience in a very cool platform,” said Papercutz CEO Terry Nantier. “Tweens are heavy users of cell phones; it’ll be fun for them to read these comics on the go! Nancy and the Hardy Boys are staying cool and now truly connected.”

In addition to Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, GoComics’ mobile lineup includes Jeff Smith’s popular Bone series; the Shakti-style epics of Virgin Comics; the fantasy hits GØDLAND and Elephantmen; the webcomic-turned-comic-book PvP; the manga and anime horror import Guilstein; high-flying martial arts fun starring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; and comics from publishers such as IDW Press and Devil’s Due. GoComics’ mobile comic book reader is available on AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and all other major carriers.

Launched in the spring of 2005, Papercutz is a graphic novel publishing company for tweens and teens, which started by bringing the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew into all-new comics. The company has also recently added publishing all-new Tales from the Crypt and Classics Illustrated. In this short period of time, it has sold over 250,000 Nancy Drew and 200,000 Hardy Boys graphic novels. For more information, visit www.Papercutz.com.
