Fans of classic horror comics are probably already familiar with Creepy, originally published by Warren Comics from 1964 to 1983. If you haven't had the pleasure yet, think lurid artwork and twisted morality tales where the greedy, corrupt, and vain receive their just desserts.

Hmm... speaking of dessert, Creepy has returned in the pages of MySpace Dark Horse Presents' November 2008 issue with the gruesome tale Om Nom Nom, written by Andrew Mayer with artwork by Lukas Ketner. Sweet little old lady Polly Presser loves cute little things so much, she could just eat them up! Here's a tip: don't read this right after lunch.

So what does this have to do with Barack Obama? I was fortunate enough to purchase a print from Lukas Ketner this past weekend at the Stumptown Comics Fest booth at Wordstock here in Portland. It's an illustration of the president-elect that looks as if it were swiped from a Harlequin romance novel... check out the white horse bounding through the background! This is going up on my wall somewhere.
