Media Release -- Aspen Comics is continuing their 15-Year Anniversary campaign on releasing classic "legacy" titles with the release and long-awaited return of their best-selling Michael Turner's Fathom on June 20th. In 2018, the property is celebrating its twenty-year anniversary since its critically acclaimed debut in 1998 as the #1 selling title of that year on the comic book charts. Created by Michael Turner, the flagship action-adventure returns for its epic seventh volume with Aspen's most popular artist, Siya Oum, and critically acclaimed veteran comic book writer Ron Marz, along with colors by superstar Peter Steigerwald. Writer Ron Marz discusses his excitement:

When we first started talking about doing something for Aspen, the choice of which book was obvious. It had to be one that started it all, it had to be Michael Turner's baby, 'Fathom.' And then when we started talking about artists for the series, my wish list was one name long: Siya Oum. Sometimes projects just come together so seamlessly, you know they're meant to be. I couldn't be happier than to be working with Siya, Peter Steigerwald, and everybody at Aspen. We're going to make ... forgive me ... quite a splash.

This all-new Michael Turner's Fathom volume will feature the art of Siya Oum and Peter Steigerwald. The solicitation copy for Michael Turner's Fathom #1 reads:

This all-new adventure for Aspen's preeminent hero sees her attempt to navigate an ever-changing world where The Blue are not only present above the surface—but exploited in new and dangerous ways.

When a rival nation to The States decides to take control of the global landscape by tapping into the power of The Blue, Aspen Matthews discovers that a new adversary has risen to challenge the notion that she is the most powerful person on the planet—and humanity may suffer the consequences!

Michael Turner and Aspen Comics' flagship title commemorates its landmark twenty years since its debut in grand fashion! The superstar creative team of Ron Marz (Green Lantern, Witchblade), Siya Oum (Lola XOXO), and Peter Steigerwald (The ZooHunters, Kick-Ass) are on board to deliver Fathom, and the iconic heroine, Aspen Matthews, to a new generation of readers as well as loyal fans alike!

To support the release of this Aspen "Legacy" Anniversary volume, Aspen is bringing in top tier cover artists including direct edition covers for upcoming issues by Art Adams, Mirka Andolfo, Mike Choi, Paolo Pantalena and more to be revealed.
