Media Release -- Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. Spawn creator and fan favorite artist, Todd McFarlane, has returned to interior art in a tag team effort with current Spawn artist, Whilce Portacio. With Portacio set to draw a fill-in issue for Marvel's Hulk comic, McFarlane decided that he would be the best man for the job to help bring Spawn to life within the pages of this upcoming issue, coming to stores October 21st.
Also included in this issue of Spawn is part four of the Image United Prelude. The other 3 parts can be found in this month's issues of Savage Dragon (#153), Witchblade (#131), and Invincible (#67). The four-part prelude centers on Whilce Portacio's new character, Fortress, and sets up his new role in the Image Universe. Image United debuts this November and features new artwork from Image founders Erik Larsen (Savage Dragon), Marc Silvestri (Witchblade), Jim Valentino (Shadowhawk), Rob Liefeld (Youngblood), Whilce Portacio (Wetworks), and Todd McFarlane (Spawn). The title is written by best selling author, Robert Kirkman (Walking Dead).
