Media Release -- Marvel Comics has announced a previously unsolicited Reborn #1 Joe Quesada Variant Cover (APR098376D), which is scheduled to arrive in shipments beginning July 22.
Retailers may order two copies of this variant for every 25 copies of Reborn #1 (MAY090412D ordered by its FOC date of Tuesday, June 16.
Since its solicitation in this May’s Marvel PREVIEWS, retailers and fans alike have been talking about Reborn #1, the beginning of a clandestine, five-part series from writer Ed Brubaker and artist Bryan Hitch.
Additionally, as a reminder, Marvel Comics previously announced in a previous edition of Diamond Daily:
• For starters, Reborn #1 is expected to receive nationwide mass media coverage on June 15, and in an effort to give retailers more time to adjust orders, the issue’s FOC date has been moved from Thursday, June 11 to Tuesday, June 16. The on-sale date of July 1 is unaffected by the FOC adjustment. (Note that the Quesada Variant will arrive on July 22, after other versions of the issue.)
• Reborn #1 will have a Sketch Variant Cover by John Cassaday that retailers will receive for free for every 70 copies they order of the regular cover of Reborn #1. The issue is also available for purchase in a 1-for-25 Cassaday Variant (MAY090413D).
