We’ve had two more episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and we’re nearing the end of the series; it’s time to take another look to see how the market is reacting.

Great Lakes! It’s Mr. Immortal!

Mr. Immortal showed up in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Episode 6 in a very humorous take on the character. The volume of copies sold of West Coast Avengers #46, Mr. Immortal’s first appearance, shot up after his debut, with 16 copies sold in the past two weeks compared to three copies sold the month prior. However, pricing is much lower than when the Mr. Immortal hype began back in March.

The high price of a sold copy since he made his first MCU appearance was a slashed $294 on September 23 for a 9.8 graded copy on eBay. The peak for this book was back on March 20 when a 9.8 sold in a $400 fixed price sale on eBay. That’s nearly a 34% drop in value.

While there are only 218 graded copies in the CGC census, don’t expect that relative scarcity to affect prices too much as demand will likely drop considerably over the next few weeks. Mr. Immortal strikes me as very much a one-and-done character who was utilized for comedic effect. Don’t expect an MCU return any time soon.

She-Hulk’s Support Group

Four relatively minor Marvel villains made their MCU debuts in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Episode 7. As with Mr. Immortal, they were used more for laughs than to introduce them to viewers as characters who will be mainstays in the MCU. Let’s unpack each of them to see how the market reacted.

El Aguila

El Aguila made his Marvel Comics debut in Power Man and Iron Fist #58. Not a single graded copy has sold since August 10 when a 9.8 copy sold for a slashed $400 on eBay.

That was a ridiculously high sale, and 69% higher than the second highest sale of $110. Please don’t overpay for D-list characters – ever. I don’t care what show or movie they’re showing up in. Just don’t.

Man-Bull

Like El Aguila, Man-Bull’s first appearance in Daredevil #78 has seen no sales since the character premiered in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Episode 7.

The highest sale of a universal graded copy this year was a slashed $199 for a 9.2 graded copy in an August 23 eBay auction with only one bid. That, and the fact that there are only 115 graded copies of this Bronze Age book, should tell you all you need to know about Man-Bull’s popularity with fans.

Porcupine

Porcupine actually has a little pedigree in Marvel Comics, debuting all the way back in Tales to Astonish #48, cover dated October 1963. We did see one sale since he made his MCU debut. A 6.5 graded copy sold for $215 on eBay on October 2.

That’s down 25% from a September 2021 peak price for a 6.5 of $288 in a Heritage auction, but pretty much in line with the drop we’ve seen in other Marvel Silver Age comics since the 2021 boom.

Saracen

Who the heck is Saracen? Well, a character by that name made his first appearance Blade: Vampire Hunter #1, published in late 1999. While he doesn’t look anything like that character, his MCU debut caused four copies to sell from a total CGC census of only 38 graded copies.

The high price paid was a slashed $250 for a 9.8. Believe it or not, that’s down a bit from the $255 paid for a 9.8 graded copy of this comic on April 10. Not sure why someone was forking over that much for this comic, but O.K.
