FF #1 (Bagley Connecting Variant Cover Edition)Media Release -- The Baltimore Comic-Con is happy to announce that artist Mark Bagley will be joining the growing list of Marvel Comics creators attending this year's show. The show will be taking place the weekend of September 7-8, 2013 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

A long-time Marvel Comics artist, Mark Bagley got his break in comics after winning the Marvel Try-out Book Contest in 1983. Starting out working on the Visionaries and New Universe lines of books, Bagley eventually landed the art duties for New Warriors. He stayed on the book for the first 25 issues before transitioning to take over the art for Amazing Spider-Man.

After a 64-issue run on Amazing Spider-Man, Bagley went on to have a 50-issue run on Thunderbolts and a career-defining run on Ultimate Spider-Man - where he and collaborator, Brian Michael Bendis, broke the record for longest continuous run of any creative team with 111 issues (previously held by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby at 103 issues).

In 2008, Bagley signed a 3-year exclusive contract with DC Comics, but returned to Marvel in 2011 and reunited with Bendis to work on the "Death of Spider-Man" arc in Ultimate Spider-Man and Brilliant for Marvel's Icon Imprint. He is currently drawing Marvel NOW!'s Fantastic Four.

"We are absolutely thrilled to finally have Mark joining us for the show this year," said Marc Nathan, show promoter of the Baltimore Comic-Con. "Mark's work has really helped to define the look and feel of Marvel Comics for more than 20 years, and having him at the show adds so much depth to an already talent-filled guest list!"
