CarnageWe all know ASM #361 is the Carnage key to have, but how are his other appearances faring in the looming hype for Let There Be Carnage?

With the Venom sequel getting an official title logo and shots of Woody Harrelson in Cletus Kasady attire circulating the internet, we're all set for the Venom 2 hype train to get to full speed. Now that the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed the release date from October 2 to June 25, 2021, there's plenty of time for Sony to stoke the fires.

As we saw in 2018 when Venom was released, fans can't get enough Carnage. While we wait for his live-action debut, prices for his key appearances are on the rise. We all know that Amazing Spider-Man #361 is the most popular Carnage key, but what about his other early appearances? Here's your breakdown.

CarnageAMAZING SPIDER-MAN #344

There's not enough love for Cletus Kasady's first appearance. Sure, he didn't become popular until he donned the symbiote, but Cletus is Carnage. Other characters have used the symbiote, but it's not truly Carnage until Cletus is under the mask.

In the buildup to Carnage, Cletus made his debut in ASM #344. For the hardcore Carnage fans, this issue is a must-have since it's not only his first appearance but also when he first makes contact with the symbiote.

In 2018, when the first wave of Venom and Carnage hysteria peaked, a 9.8 for this issue sold for as much as $310. So far this year, it hasn't sold for more than $170, but that makes this a good time to get your copy.

CarnageAMAZING SPIDER-MAN #359

This is the first of two Carnage cameos before his full debut in ASM #361. Its popularity boomed last year, selling a record 29 times at the 9.8 grade. Over the past 90 days, the price keeps climbing with a fair market value of $75. On January 1, the 9.8 set a new record-high when it sold for $95.

The second of Carnage's initial cameos, this is when we see the symbiote's face for the first time. While he's only featured for one page, this is still a collectible issue for the Carnage fan. It's also the more popular of the two cameos since this issue gave us a better look at the red symbiote.

The 90-day FMV for a 9.8 stands at $135, but it recently sold for $200 on April 27.

CarnageAMAZING SPIDER-MAN #361 (SECOND PRINT)

Even the second printing for Carnage's debut is getting the rub from the movie hype. In 2018, the 9.8 averaged over $200. Although prices are down compared to then, it's showing signs of life. Back in January, one sold for $258. Recently, another sold for $200 on April 15, while the latest sale was for $180 on April 24.

CarnageAMAZING SPIDER-MAN #362

For those who don't have an ASM #361, this is the next best thing. What's even better is you get Carnage and Venom on the same cover for a reasonable price. At a 9.8, it averages close to $75. However, since May 1, two of the four sales have been for over $100, so this issue is getting more expensive by the month.

CarnageAMAZING SPIDER-MAN #363

To complete the Carnage trifecta, collectors will want his third full appearance in ASM #363. Like its counterpart, this issue is getting more expensive. At a 9.8, it's averaged $60 for the past 12 months. However, the most recent sale was for $81 on April 30.
