Larry Marder ComicsBeanworld creator Larry Marder is generously donating an original sketch to our Fourth Annual SDCC Autograph Card/CBLDF Auction event! Marder has donated every year since the inception of our autograph card program since 2009, and we always look forward to his fun, creative pieces!

The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund has defended the First Amendment Rights of the comics community since 1986. It's an important cause that needs our support every day, and TFAW is proud to have helped raise more than $75,000 in the past three years.

Marder created the characters for Beanworld, part of his efforts to "create comics where idea was everything," in the early 1970s. Current collections of his work are published by Dark Horse Comics. Check out last year's sketch, below!

Marder's sketch will be auctioned off by the CBLDF at SDCC, with all profits going to protect the First Amendment Rights of comics retailers, publishers, creators, and fans! In addition, TFAW will be turning every sketch from this event into free, limited-edition autograph cards that we will be distributing at SDCC this year. Stop by booth #5625 to pick up your set, and make sure to stop by the CBLDF Auction July 14 at San Diego Comic-Con!
