Kotobukiya’s Iron Man Movie Busts Lead February-Solicited PREVIEWS Exclusives

(BALTIMORE, MD) — (January 21, 2008) — Every month, PREVIEWS, the comic shop’s catalog, offers exclusive items you can only find at comic book specialty shops and other fine specialty retailers served by Diamond Comic Distributors.

Showcasing items shipping in April and beyond, February’s catalog has a variety of PREVIEWS Exclusives (PX), including:

• Iron Man Movie Mark III & Mark II PX Fine Art Busts (Item Code: FEB09 4988-9; $79.99 MSRP ea.): First, Tony Stark’s face is visible below the raised faceplate of Kotobukiya’s Mark III bust, while Iron Man’s work-in-progress, gun-metal armor is captured by its Mark II bust. Both stand approximately 8” tall and feature light-up repulsor hands and marquee bases. These two pieces are also presented together in the Fine Art Bust Twin Pack (Item Code: FEB09 4990; $159.98 MSRP). All three exclusives will be limited to only 500 pieces worldwide, and are individually numbered on the engraved metal plates.

• Cinema of Fear: Friday the 13th Jason PX Action Figure (Item Code: FEB09 4823; $18.99 MSRP): Jason Voorhees, the hockey-mask-wearing killer from the Friday the 13th movie series, is the next big screen monstrosity to be presented by Mezco Toyz’s Cinema of Fear action figure line. This 7″ tall action figure captures all the elements that makes Jason a horror movie icon and comes in blister card packaging.

• Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time: Eye of the World #0 PX Variant Cover (Item Code: FEB09 4226; $3.99 MSRP): Featuring this special cover, Dabel Brothers Publishing sets the stage for its ongoing series that adapts Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time saga with this 32-page one-shot from writer Chuck Dixon and artist Chase Conley. Here readers will discover what led to the Fall of the Dragon and the Breaking of the World.

• How to Cosplay PX Volume 2: Handmade Cos 1 – Japanese Costumes (Item Code: FEB09 4636; $24.99 MSRP): Graphic-Sha Publishing continues its How to Cosplay series with this volume, which will teach readers interested in sporting costumes inspired by their favorite anime & manga characters how to create their own ninja and samurai clothing. The volume features tutorials that teach a wealth of techniques needed for making the best costumes and an instructive CD-ROM.
