Free Agency is an exciting time for teams, players, and fans of the NFL. Some players are looking at their first big payday after a successful start to their careers. Teams look to add the final piece for their playoff runs. And hope springs eternal for fans hoping that this could be their year. Here are some key rookie cards for players who changed teams this off-season.

Baker Mayfield 2018 Panini Prizm Rookie

After winning the Heisman at Oklahoma, Baker Mayfield was the 1st overall pick in 2018. He had some highlights with the Browns, which included leading the team to their first playoff win in 16 years following the 2020 season. Things didn't work out in Cleveland and they didn't work out in a short stint in Carolina either.

Mayfield, however, had a strong showing over 4 starts with the Rams in 2022. This offseason, the quarterback seemingly ended up in a good spot with Tampa Bay. The Bucs don't have a premium draft pick and Mayfield should get a shot as resurrecting his career in Tampa. If he does, his Panini Prizm rookie card should sell for more than the $50 it is currently going for in a PSA 10.

Derek Carr 2014 SP Authentic Future Watch

It is widely expected that Aaron Rodgers will soon become the best quarterback to be moved during the 2023 offseason. That has yet to happen yet, and as a result, Derek Carr moving to the Saints is free agency's biggest move. During his 9 years with the Raiders, the quarterback made 4 Pro Bowls.

Carr has many rookie issues, but his 2014 SP Authentic Future Watch card is a good combination of an attractive card with a low population. Still, cards in a PSA 10 could be had for under $300.

Tremaine Edmunds 2018 Panini Rookies

Tremaine Edmunds shocked the football world with his performance at the 2018 NFL Combine. Despite standing at over 6-4 and weighing more than 250 pounds, the linebacker blazed a 4.54-second 40-yard dash. The Bills selected Edmunds in the first round and were rewarded with two Pro-Bowl appearances.

The linebacker moved to Chicago this offseason for a big money deal and will likely continue to dominate for the Bears. Edmunds has several rookie cards within the 2018 Panini set which are available in several variants and price points.

Odell Beckham 2014 Topps Chrome Auto

Odell Beckham burst onto the scene with the New York Giants and his acrobatic catches made him one of the most popular players in the game. The Giants traded the wide receiver to the Browns and he later won a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams.

During that Super Bowl, Beckham tore his ACL and missed all of last season. He recently signed a big deal with the Baltimore Ravens so that he could team with superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson. If that partnership goes well, there could be a rise in his Topps Chrome Auto rookie which sells for between $200-$300 in a PSA 9.

Aaron Rodgers 2005 Topps Chrome

This is a hedge on something that has yet to happen, but most likely will. The Packers are looking to move on from legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the quarterback has said that his intention is to play for the New York Jets. If Rodgers is to lead the Jets to their first Super Bowl in decades, his cards could see quite a boost.

One of Rodgers' most sought-after rookie cards is his 2005 Topps Chrome issue. The card is easily obtainable online and can be had in a PSA 9 grade for a bit under $400.
