What people are saying about Junior Braves of the Apocalypse:

"The Walking Dead has become a zombie phenomenon, with a bestselling comics series and highly popular television series, but the violence may be too strong for some teens; they still want zombie stories. Now there’s Junior Braves of the Apocalypse, Book 1: A Brave Is Brave." Voice of Youth Advocate (VOYA) magazine

"This series opener is a solid alternative for young readers who may be intrigued by popular zombie comics written for adults and might not be ready for Walking Dead or Jonathan Maberry's "Rot & Ruin" books [...] A fun, fast-paced zombie comic that would pair well with the "Lumberjanes" titles." School Library Journal

"I think this comic succeeded because of my skewed expectations. I saw this and thought “oh neat, a rule 63 Lumberjanes clone,” figuring there would be a healthy dose of Boy Scout-inspired camping hijinx with broadly drawn teenage stereotypes. You know, the kind of thing that a book trying to cash in on a craze would do, where they get the broad strokes but not the fine details that make the original so entertaining. Well, I was completely wrong. I was stunned at how good Junior Braves of the Apocalypse was as a pure zombie horror story." The Robot's Voice

"Junior Braves is an all-ages title, so even though the undead are walking the streets, it's something that can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike." Horror Talk
