Yours Truly Jack The Ripper #1Media Release -- IDW Publishing is pleased to announce an all-new comics adaptation of Robert Bloch's chilling tale, Yours Truly, Jack the Ripper. In this gripping story, Bloch brings readers on a journey of suspense and murder, based on one of the greatest unsolved serial killers of all time. This series is the first from IDW's new "Robert Bloch Collection," which will feature adaptations of Bloch's most famous works.

Writing Yours Truly, Jack the Ripper for Weird Tales in the 1940s, Bloch wove a perfect horror tale with this fantastical, yet all too real, killer. Now acclaimed writers Joe R. Lansdale and John L Lansdale adapt Bloch's novel to comics, with each gory detail brought to life by Eisner-nominated artist Kevin Colden (Fishtown). Colden is handling full art and colors on this series, presenting the images in a unique, visually dynamic style.

"I'm looking forward to introducing Bloch's gripping work to a new generation of fans," said Chris Ryall, IDW's Publisher/Editor in Chief. "And doing it here with creators of the stature of the Lansdales and Kevin Colden is the prefect way to kick off this new line."

Best-known for his work as the author of the novel Psycho, Bloch has long been considered a true master of genre fiction. From being mentored by H.P. Lovecraft to receiving a Horror Writers of America Life Time Achievement award, Bloch created hundreds of influential horror, suspense, crime and science fiction stories. Additionally, he produced many screenplays, and wrote for radio and television, including the original Star Trek, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and Thriller series.

Yours Truly, Jack the Ripper #1 (of 3, 32 pages, Duotone, $3.99) will be available in stores in June. Diamond order code APR10 0358.
