LOS ANGELES (November 6, 2008) -- iVerse Media and The Hero Initiative are proud to announce a joint partnership that will result in monthly contributions to The Hero Initiative through digital comics sales. Starting this month and continuing indefinitely, iVerse Media and The Hero Initiative will select one of the digital comic books released by iVerse through the iTunes App Store as a "Hero Initiative Spotlight" book.

50% of iVerse's proceeds from the sale of this special title each month will be donated to The Hero Initiative to assist comic creators in need.

"I think it is terribly important to support the creators that helped build this industry." said iVerse owner Michael Murphey. "We are working on the future of this industry with these digital comics - but it would be completely impossible for us to be where we are, without the amazing work that these creators have done, and we’re honored to be able to work with Hero on this project."

The very first title selected for the "Hero Initiative Spotlight" is Jim Valentino's "ShadowHawk Vol. 2 #1". The book is available NOW for $0.99 in the iTunes App Store and you can purchase it via one of these two links: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=294361943&mt=8 or http://www.iversecomics.com/hero.

"I'm excited both about bringing Shadowhawk to new readers through new technology, and raising much-needed funds for Hero," said Shadowhawk creator and Hero Initiative Board member Jim Valentino. "It's an honor to be part of this important rollout.
