MCU_star_ironheartRiri Williams/Ironheart is one of the more recent Marvel Comic characters to become an overnight success. Since the character's debut in 2016, fans have been clamoring to see Ironheart on the big screen. According to a new rumor, that wish could come true in spectacular fashion. So, let's talk about Ironheart: The MCU's next breakout star.

Iron Man's legacy in the MCU will remain iconic. From 2008 to 2019, Robert Downey Jr gave his all as Tony Stark and laid the groundwork for one of the most unique franchises in recent memory. While Stark is not rumored to return to the MCU, according to The Cinema Spot, Ironheart is.

Before we get into the rumor, who is Ironheart? Well, Riri Williams was created by Brian Michael Bendis and Mike Deodato in 2016. The character is a 15-year-old engineering student at MIT, who builds her very own Iron Man suit, in honor of her hero, Tony Stark.

Since the character's debut, Ironheart has become a pop-culture icon. Despite not yet appearing in live-action, the character has been the subject of an official marketing campaign created by MIT, one of the best universities in the world. The character first appeared in Invincible Iron Man #7, from 2016. Since then, Ironheart has appeared on the Spider-Man cartoon show on DisneyXD, as well as Marvel Rising, from the same network.

According to The Cinema Spot, Ironheart will star in her very own Disney+ series, which the studio is eyeing to begin production next year. As of right now, the studio is taking pitches for the show, and thus, we have no casting/production news.

Much like Kamala Khan, Ironheart is a fantastic character to invest in. Marvel is making some truly honorable strides in order to be more inclusive, and Ironheart is the latest example. As of right now, Williams' first cameo appearance (in a 9.8 grade) is trading for a mere $150 (USD) on eBay. Just for reference, Kamala Khan's first appearance is now selling for over $700.

If you were to look at Ironheart's first full-appearance, the prices are rather similar. Invincible Iron Man #9 is going for $299 in a 9.8 grade. In all honesty, there won't be a better time to invest in Riri Williams. With Spider-Man's role in the MCU up in the air after 2021's Spider-Man 3, if worse comes to worst, Ironheart could fill that youthful spot on the Avengers line-up, which would only see her books escalate in value.
